Canada’s House of Commons has passed a bill to criminalize the public reading or quoting of the Bible on issues of marriage, sexuality, and human life. Bill C-9 was given the deceptive title, the “Combatting Hate Act.”
The legislationspeech laws, opening the door to potential criminal charges against Christians who publicly affirm the Bible’s teachings on sexuality and identity. If finally passed, the measure would effectively ban the Bible from public discourse on these matters.
