Virginia Statehouse Delegate Elizabeth Guzman is introducing a bill in the Virginia legislature to have parents criminally prosecuted if they don’t “affirm” their child as transgender.
The bill seeks to redefine the term “abused or neglected child” to include,
One who’s parent inflicts, threatens to create or inflict, or allows to be created or inflicted upon such child a physical or mental injury on the basis of the child’s gender identity or sexual orientation.
Guzman attempted to pass this bill as HB 580 in 2020. Now she’s back.
