The U.S. Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals has temporarily blocked the Robinette administration’s student loan reapportionment scheme. Six states: Arkansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and South Carolina all filed a lawsuit against the federal government to stop this unconstitutional plan.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in response to the court’s decision, “it merely prevents debt from being discharged until the court makes a decision.”
This issue may ultimately be resolved by the United States Supreme Court.
It’s a sad day in America when our own government tries to make all taxpayers shoulder the bill for student loans we never borrowed.
