“When the wicked rule, people groan.” Proverbs 29:2 (NASB).
My name is Abraham Hamilton, III and this is The Hamilton Minute.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 8404, the misnamed “Respect for Marriage Act,” 267-157. The bill seeks to provide legislative sanction for homosexual marriage nationwide. Regressives fear that Obergerell, the SCOTUS opinion that created a so-called “constitutional right” to homosexual marriage, may fall next because it’s built on the same legal sinking sand that Roe was manufactured on. 47 House Republicans joined the Democrats to pass the bill.
Now, it’s been fast tracked in the U.S. Senate and 5 Republicans have already expressed support for the measure.
If Republicans don’t fight for marriage, can they really be considered conservative?
