Speaker Nancy Pelosi tweeted at 6:31 p.m. Monday night that she was “closely monitoring the situation following bombings targeting U.S. troops in Iraq.”
At 5:40 p.m., however, nearly an hour before Pelosi tweeted her public statement, a Politico reporter tweeted “In a meeting tonight Speaker Pelosi was handed a note telling her VP Pence was on the phone. (Pelosi said) ‘Tell him I’ll call him back.’ Two minutes later, she was handed a note about the air base bombing.”
No time for the Vice-President about our troops, but Pelosi had time for a restaurant grand opening in D.C. at 6:14 p.m.
Disgraceful!
