Hamilton: God has called us to be his ambassadors even in this dark moment
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Darkness is not an affirmative force. It simply reoccupies the space vacated by the light.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: This is the, Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: It should be uncomfortable for a believer to live as a hypocrite, delivering people.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Out of the bondage of mainstream media and the philosophies of this world.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: God has called you and me to be his ambassadors, even in this dark moment. Let's not miss our moment.
Welcome to the Hamilton Corner, hosted by Abraham Hamilton
>> Abraham Hamilton III: And now, the, Hamilton Corner.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Good evening, everybody. Welcome to the Hamilton Corner. My name is Abraham Hamilton, the third host of the program. I'm joined by the Corner contingent right across from me, my man, 100 grand, Mr. Bobby Rosa is in the studio and in the screening room, producer extraordinaire, often imitated, never duplicated. The real J. Mac is seated and ready to rock and roll as well. I'm not gonna mess with them M today on that one. Not on air anyway. We got breaks to do that, you know.
Many of you are making transition from part time jobs to full time jobs
So, at this very moment, many of you, if not most of you, are making your transition from your part time jobs where you generate an income, to your full time jobs where you cultivate an outcome. And as you do so, I want to remind you to do it with intentionality, recognizing the primacy that God places on family. I cannot state this enough, I cannot state it enough because what goes on in your house is far more important than what goes on in the White House. I am, greatly concerned that with all that's happening, and it's almost at a place where it's like perpetual outrage, you know, from one issue to another. Oh, did you see that? And, oh, did you see that? And, like, like, for, for example, and I, I love my country because this is the country where God placed me. And I'm so grateful for God's divine providence in doing so. It is unsettling, unconscionable to think of what has been made public now in terms of evidence, for example, that former President Barack Hussein Obama, while publicly playing nice and oil, want to make sure we're part of the peaceful transition to the Trump years, while he's literally behind the scenes working to undermine and usurp President Trump, where we have evidence now that he was specifically involved in requiring the intelligence community to give him new, A new, A new document when they said, ah, Russia didn't do anything with our elections, nor were they capable of either. No, no, no, no. You go back to the drawing board and you find out how they did it. Like, what, you know, and then, and I have been saying this and I'm going to continue to say it. Somebody wake me up when, when somebody's arrested. And if, if with all of these things that are happening, nobody is arrested, what is the ultimate efficacy of this information being discovered? What kind of nation do we truly have? You know, the whole thing. So right now you got the, you have some of the Democrats trying to put together this whole thing. Oh, Trump and Epstein again. It's like, dude, Biden was in office how long? And with all the stuff they tried to do to Trump, do you really think if they had anything substantive on Trump that they would not have used it by now? I mean, literally, they try to blow the man's face off. Literally, not figuratively. I, I just. And then they take an email referring to Virginia Jeffrey, who's passed away now, and then they redact her name from an email that's already been public. I. These things have the effect of cumulating to such a degree. Well, they result in people who do nothing but outrage. And we can't afford to allow that to become our lot. It is gravely concerning to me, one of the most frequent things. And like I, I can tell you, like, even in our local church there, there are people who come to our church and they say, man, you know, we never really heard much about discipleship till we came here. Guys, that breaks my heart every time I hear that many of you have had the same experiences and what we may not recognize what's happened. One of the foremost contributors to the Lord, moving his people to function in our nation in the way that he desires and for our nation to become the nation and to be the nation he desires for us to be, has been often left on the cutting room floor, has been neglected largely and it's because we don't recognize what, what by God's grace I hope to point out to us from scripture here and now, when I say daily that the transition from our income generating capacity to our outcome cultivation capacity, with outcome cultivation being our full time jobs. Guys, we cannot afford to continue another day, another moment, the negligence that has transpired in the generations prior in the days preceding to the word of God we go.
Second Peter chapter one, verses one through eight is where I'm gonna go
Second Peter chapter one, verses one through eight is where I'm gonna go. Second Peter, chapter one, verses one through eight. The Apostle Peter wrote this toward the latter part, well, the mid to the latter part of the 60s A.D. we know he and the Apostle Paul were executed in the same year under Nero in Rome. Peter is writing toward the latter part of his life. Last week I referred to verses 12 through 15. In this chapter, when Peter explicitly says, look, I know that I'm about to put off my temporal dwelling, meaning I know m my time of my departure is nigh, but I want to remind you of these things, not because you're ignorant of them, but to amplify their importance and to put you in a position long after I'm gone, that you would still be functioning in what God has called you to. And in that vein, Peter writes this by the Spirit of God, 2nd Peter, chapter 1, verse 1. Simon Peter, a Doulos, a bond servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ. To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ. Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, seeing that his divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness through the Epignasis is the Greek word there the true knowledge or precise knowledge or accurate understanding of him who called us by his own glory and excellence. For by these he has granted to us his precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. Now, for this very reason supplement your faith or, or also applying all diligence in your faith. This is meant to be a faith supplement, guys. Applying all diligence in your faith supply moral excellence. And in your moral excellence, knowledge. And in your knowledge, self control. And in your self control, perseverance. And in your perseverance, godliness. And in your godliness, brotherly kindness. And in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing. Some translations render that portion. If these qualities are yours. And they are abounding. And they abound. If these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor. Nor unfruitful. In the opygnosis, of our Lord Jesus Christ. Other translations render that phrasing that you will be rendered neither barren or unproductive in your knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a sobering passage of Scripture, and this is something that. That. That I am gravely concerned that has not been a frequent conversation amongst many professing believers. The reality exists, and I would want to remind you that the apostle Peter here is writing to believers. He's writing to fellow believers, right? In verse one, he literally says that he's writing to those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ. And to these people who have received a faith of the same kind as ours people. Peter writes, these are qualities you must have and they must be increasing. Your faith is a baseline. It's not the sum total that all you are to be. It is a baseline. And your faith must be bolstered, must be supplemented. Not to earn justification, not to earn right standing with God, but as a result of having been benefited by the finished work of the cross, as a result of being redeemed. That this is now your life's course. The thing that I'm gravely concerned that has not been a significant conversation is the fact that the apostle Peter is warning that if these qualities are not yours, and if these qualities are not increasing in your lives, in your hearts, and your walk with the Lord and your journey in sanctification, then you face the real perspective, the real prospect. I mean the real prospect of being unfruitful and useless and in your knowledge of Jesus Christ. My heart breaks. But if we are, to be honest, brokers much of what passes for Christ following our country, the bride, has publicly been rendered useless and unfruitful. Not because there's something wrong with the word of God, but you have. But when we have something as foundational to Christ, following as Jesus's commission. Go ye therefore into all the world, making disciples of all ethnos, going into all the cosmos, making disciples of all ethnos, teaching them to obey everything that Jesus Christ commanded you. And this is to continue to the end of the age. But to have so often and so frequent a phenomenon for people to say, oh, Abe, I didn't, I didn't really. Making disciples. What. What is that? How do you do that? What? That's what we're supposed to be doing. And as a result of that neglect, generally speaking, we now have a popular. Have a populace that significant portions of it. Yeah, you know, I like innovative, thinking. Remember that clip I played to you for the mom, Donnie voter? Oh, I like innovative thinking, though. She's voting for an ideology from 1848. One of the qualities that's supposed to be in the Lord's people and that's increasing, it says it right here that you add to your faith. You supplement your faith with knowledge. In verse 3. The knowledge mentioned in verse 3 is connected to the epignasis. Ah. That is mentioned previously in the verses that I read before that we as a people of God should yearn for not just general information floating our heads and we'd be walking around like puffed up eggheads. But there's a yearning for learning that flows from being, being anchored in Christ. Are these qualities ours? Are they abounding in us? Are we a people that are pursuing moral excellence? I, weep over story after story of pastor and minister and this leader and that leader who has fallen. And many of what's happened publicly. You've heard the attic. What exists in the pulpit is normally amplified in the pews. Sexual immorality so prevalent amongst the professing people of God that we don't talk about what the scripture says about things like divorce. And the urgency you hear in my voice that is coming from my heart is that we don't even recognize that, that we have largely been rendered useless. We don't understand what Colossians 2 means when it says, be careful that you're not deluded. Which delusion can metastasize into captivity? That captivity is increasing amounts of offspring of people born into Christian homes that reject the free gift of salvation or people professing to be Christ followers. But the relationship they have with Jesus doesn't impact anybody beyond themselves. And so we set the course. You hear me on this show say all the time, darkness is not an, affirmative force, but, but rest assured, it reoccupies the space that is vacated by the light. So instead of the Lord's bride being salt and light, we become lightly salted. Instead of us being a passionate body of believers, advancing God's kingdom, animated by the spirit of God, making disciples throughout our nation, cultivating a populace that is sufficient to Enjoy the Article 4 constitutional guarantee of a constitutional republican form of government. Instead of that being the reality, what's happening in our nation? The negligence leaves room for the Islamist in New York City. The negligence leaves room for a dullness concerning the threats that abound with Islamism and the history there. Instead of being a robust body, we. We have people that are ripe for the type of foolishness that Tucker Carlsen is spewing lately and the conspiracy things that Candace Owens is spewing out with, with no facts, but having itching ears and yielding to all of this insanity. Oh God, would you stir us again, Lord? Stir your bride to return to the foundation of who you called us to be. The Lord is able to say by many or by few guys, and I'm not looking at this merely in the natural sense, if we would humble ourselves and repent, God will in no ways despise us.
Joseph Parker: Prayerlessness is failure to really pray as we should
>> Jeff Chamblee: A discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
>> Joseph Parker: Prayerlessness. What exactly is prayerlessness? Well, that's the failure to really pray as we should. When we don't pray, we can miss things God is saying to us and God is doing in and around us. When we don't pray, we miss blessings God very much wants us to have. It's a challenging area of life for probably many if not most believers that they to pray. You know, the word of God tells us in First Thessalonians chapter 5, it says, Pray without ceasing. Well, how in the world do we really do that? Well, keep in mind, God wouldn't tell us to do something we could not do. God tells us time and time again to do things that we can only do in his wisdom, in his power and in his grace. Now I want to say and challenge every listener to really think about this. It's important that we live a life full of prayer.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Shining light into the darkness. This is the Hamilton Quarter on American Family Radio.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner. Guys, I've said it before and I'm going to say this now. We, we absolutely need people organizing political activity. We need people, that are willing to be selfless and to put themselves out to be candidates for very often various offices. We need a, godly Christ following spirit filled attorneys who are willing to fill judicial roles. We need all of that. But if we have all of those things filled, but we do not have a Christian church in our nation being effective in making disciples. The apparatus that has been constructed and that we've enjoyed for so long, guys, it will not endure. It will not endure. So my point in saying this is not to say abandon those other areas. Not in the least bit. Not in the least bit. But there must be a potent force for disciple making, in our nation. I can go on and on and on referring to the various founders of Republic if you can keep it, you know, religion, immorality and indispensable sports. How many times have I quoted in the last several months John Adams, he talks about, you know, a populace that is unbridled by religion and morality are not conducive to our form of government. That the government is not able to handle human passions unbridled by religion and morality. They will run through our Constitution like a whale goes through a net. That's literally what John Adams said. And now look around, what's going on. I'm going to share a story with you today that we have people fighting, fighting. Texas passed a bill literally saying this. You can't have sexually oriented performances where you have minors present. Like think about that, think about that. And now they had to pass a law for that in the first place. Think about that. You want to talk about a lawless people? Yeah. We want to fight for our right to wiggle in front of the seven year olds. That's. That's so that in and of itself. Then get this. When Texas passed the law, you got folks that sued to prevent the state from enforcing the law. What do we. What are we doing as a society? As a society, we have. And I'll cover this now. The whole world watched, Charlie Kirk murdered in front of the world. And we had people all across our society in various occupations and various immigration and not, immigration, education levels and who celebrated the man's death into the halls of the professoriate. In our halls of, And then in the state of Virginia, we had an attorney general candidate who literally wished death upon his political opponents and his children, wishing that his children's mother would have to suffer the children dying in her arms. And he wanted it and expressed a desire to desecrate their graves in order for them to have a different political position. And this Jew and this dude won. He won, guys. And then you have. And there's. There's some updates on Senator John Fetterman, but he appeared on the Clinton News Network, the Crescent News Network, the crazy News Network. And I'm going to play the clip so you can judge for yourself where this is the senator. And listen, the man, he's a Democrat US Senator from Pennsylvania, John Fetterman. I disagree with him on everything policy wise, but he's a man holding the line for sanity in the Democrat Party. He still votes lock and step with the Democrats, generally speaking. He has aberrations every now and again, now and again. He was one of the early Democrats to want to end the government shutdown. But he was asked by Dannah Bash, you experience a lot of hate, especially online. Where do you get the most from? And now that question is so sophomore, in my opinion. Like, oh, yeah, they're. They. They hate more than them. It's like so hatred because of political differences. Acceptable, even. Even that. But then you have Dannah. Dannah Bash. When Senator Fetterman answers, she really, Bobby. She was so shocked. You see, I'm just like, ma', am, did you go to Juilliard? Did. Did you. Did you. Did you. Are you putting on your thespian training? You know, kind of like the same act when. When your entire, sort. Your, Your. Your colleagues all. Can you believe how bad Joe Biden has become? As if they had no clue Senator Fetterman was on cnn. I'll play this for you. And. And then I want you to look at it, look, listen to it.
Senator Fetterman says he's drunk deeply of venom from both sides
And I want to first of all, process what Senator Fetterman is saying says, but also, do you believe Dannah Bash was really surprised at his answer. Let me show you what I'm talking about. Listen to and watch clip number three. Clip three, go. You said, quote, I've drunk deeply of the venom of both the left and the right. As a connoisseur, I can confirm that the most poisonous, the bitterest, is from the far left.
>> Joseph Parker: That is pretty remarkable, to hear you say that as an elected Democrat. Why?
>> Speaker E: Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, you know, it's been, it's just been my personal experience on this thing. and when I asked my digital team, I said, you know, you're. We're on all the platforms, you know, really what's, what's kind of the harshest, what's kind of the most personal? And the answer was immediate. He said, oh, blue sky.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: It's blue sky.
>> Speaker E: and the difference is, I mean, the right would say really rough things and names, you know, some names I won't, I won't repeat on tv, but on the left, it was like, they want me to die. Or that we're cheering for your next stroke. Or. That's terrible, that depression. Why couldn't. Depression won. and I hope you're kids find you. and then, they even have like the graphic a gift where they have like a stroke, you know. You know, in your head.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Yeah.
>> Speaker E: And, and they said that, I remember one they claimed, oh, the doctor let us down. And why did they have to save his life? I mean, just really, like, I just can't imagine people are, are wishing, you know, I wish he dies, or I want him to die, you know, literally cheering for, for a stroke. And I don't know what the kind of a place where that comes from. I mean, that's, that's much different than just calling me a name. you know, and that's, that's really been consistent, you know, in that community online.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: So much to say in regards to this. First, for those of you who don't know, Blue sky is a social media platform that was started in response to Elon Musk's purchase of the artist formally on his Twitter and all of the regressives, or should I say a lot to the regressives. Well, I'm living. I'm leaving Twitter. I'm leaving Twitter. We still have accounts on X, by the way. We need to start our own. We, we can't Allow. So it's a haven for, regressives to spew their screeds online, you know, so, for those of you who may not be aware of that, Senator Fetterman says, you know, people from on the right, and, I mean, you know, how do you really know they're online? But whatever, let's go with what he said. The people on the right, they may call me names, but in this environment where we just witnessed what happened to Charlie Kirk and, all these other things, the people who profess to be members of the party that I am a part of, who don't like my willingness to use my own mind, and though 95, 97% of the time, I vote with everything else the Democrats do, but when I do say things slightly different, they don't just express their disdain or disapproval of that. They wish death on me. Just, by way of reminder, this is the same John Fetterman who literally had a stroke during his Senate campaign. Literally had a stroke. And, you know, people say, ah, I wish you had. Why did the doctor save him? You know, he's talked about suffering with depression and all other kind of stuff. Oh, I wish depression would have taken him out. These are. These are the things they're saying to him. These are the things they're saying to him. But if you watch this show and if you listen to this show, you already know that those who adhere to the. The doctrinaire offerings of Moses, Mordecai Marks Levy, you know, that violence to them wasn't anything that, you know. You know, you ride through certain neighborhoods or you go through a school zone, they have these speed bumps, right? because the speed bumps, when you slow down, to them, violence ain't even a speed bump. In fact, it's the opposite. Violence. Violence is a useful tool, a useful tool to advance their agenda. You know, it's a useful tool to gin up what Marx and Georgie Lukaks would describe it. Lukak specifically called it, the type of person to support the demonic revolution. We need people to be willing to be human demons so that they will be willing to utilize violence as a mechanism. So is there any surprise that the people who adhere to these ideologies also will utilize that on anybody, including one of their own senators? You. I mean, you would talk about egregious, wishing death on wishing his children would find him dead. And, is that a surprise? Are you surprised by that? I'm not, sadly. Sadly, I'm not. Not at all. So then you see Dannah Bash. Oh. Oh, no. Really? Oh. Oh, wow. Wow. 1. I think the surprise is limited to this. I can't believe he said that on tv. But do you really believe she's surprised that that's the kind of things that. That are being said and that things that are happening. I don't, I don't think, one. I don't think for a second that Dannah Bash is truly surprised. Guys, these are. These are the people.
The majority of people in impoverished neighborhoods are not criminals, according to studies
You know, I want to present something to you. Like where. Where did we begin to. And why do we begin to accept things like, well, you know, violence and criminality is synonymous with people who grow, who. Who live in. In poverty. Guys, that's just simply not true. First and foremost, the majority of people that live in impoverished neighborhoods are not criminals. That's just the facts. The people who are criminals are an extreme minority. But where do we get this ideology from statements like, oh, the riots, just the, the. The voice being expressed of the unheard. Where did that come from? Guys, that come straight out of Marx, straight out of the notion of fomenting discontent with the proletariat in order to whip them into a frenzy with. Where they're willing to cast off the restraints of the bourgeoisie. Guys, I know I'm from the hood. I know people in the projects haven't always been overrun with criminality. It's been a change over time, generationally, as. Stop, me if you heard this before. An abandonment concerning the shaping and cultivation of the hearts and minds of. Of young Americans generationally. And then that abandonment was reoccupied by dark ideologies, which results in this generational gap where you have older Americans, like, never will we consider things like socialism. Of course not. When you got, young people kind of like, well, what happened? It was been. It's been the product of an intentional colossians 2 phenomenon. Because for these people, violence is not only acceptable, it's not only. Not a speed bump, it's an effective tool. And so you have lots of all these sociologists and others that come around. Well, yeah, I'm sure you should certainly expect violence with this poverty. Says who? Says who? Having fewer resources has never automatically resulted in. In the types of personal ethical rot that makes one comfortable with criminality. That has never been an automatic. But over time, it's drifted.
Only 13% of Born Again Christians have a biblical worldview, study finds
So getting back to Dannah Bash, I, I find her political theory theater appalling because I don't think she's honestly surprised. I think if there is any surprise, it is, oh, I can't believe he just said that on television. Which Brings us full circle to the conversation we had following Charlie Kirk's public assassination and martyrdom. There are people who are comfortable with violence as a, as a political tool because they're. Jesus told us when a student is fully trained, he'll be like his teacher. That's. And that's literally what we're witnessing. But we have to have the wherewithal to get boots on the ground and engage people because there's always, you know, there's always, group courage, you know. Yeah, people are willing to pop off in the group. You get it by themselves there more quiet than the church mouse. And soon after that interview, John Fetterman's office released an update today because he was out for, he says, his office says a morning walk. And he suffered a ventricular fibrillation which I had to look up, which is an abnormal heart rhythm that can result in cardiac arrest. Thankfully, he's recovering. He's in the hospital now. But soon after doing the interview, he suffered this fall near his home in Braddock. And it's resulted him having injuries to his face. But again, he's recovering. I wonder what Blue sky is saying now following that news. You know, you think they are expressing concern for John Fetterman's condition or are, some cheering. What happened to the Senator?
>> Jeff Chamblee: I hope you're sitting down for this. George Barna's Cultural Research center found only 13% of Born Again Christians have a biblical worldview. That means there's a huge lack of biblical life essentials in our country. And AFA is committed to helping churches ignite a hunger for God. You can be part of that with your gift today. And we'll send you Dr. Alex McFarland's DVD. Do Christians have permission to edit Scripture? Visit afa.netbiblical afa.net Biblical children, of course.
>> Jenna Ellis: Are given to parents, by God, not to the state. Children don't belong to the. And we need to make sure that those lines are very clearly protected. And increasingly a secularized culture where, the government has, not only, tried to make the church completely irrelevant, but basically replace parents.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Jenna Ellis in the morning, weekdays at.
>> Jeff Chamblee: 7 Central on American Family Radio.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: This is Abraham Hamilton III with afr and we're sending bible. Here's Michael with Bible League International.
>> Michael with Bible League International: Abraham, this is startling. Outside of the US in the regions of Asia, Africa, the Middle EAS, in Latin America, as many as nine of 10 new believers lack a Bible. They can't read God's precious promises. Would you remember Sibella? In the Middle east, only A couple of years ago, she could not read, but now she can. And she's praying for a Bible. Nia's a widowed mother of four in Kenya. Her husband was killed by the Boko Haram regime. But she wants to raise her children to know and love Jesus. She's praying for a Bible. Let me say thanks to Walter of Muskegon, Michigan, Constance of Lewisburg, West Virginia, and Teresa of Dubuque, Iowa. We want to bless 6,000 Bibleless believers around the world during this month of Thanksgiving. If you're grateful for your Bible, if God has used his word to grow you, would you give that privilege to others today?

Texas passed a bill that prohibits sexual performances in front of minors
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner. Abraham Hamilton, third here. I'll go to this story because I alluded to it already. the state of Texas passed a bill, Senate Bill 12. this bill was passed in late 2022, no, 2023. And it is a bill that prohibits, quote, sexually oriented performances and visual performances that features a performer who is nude or engages in sexual conduct and appeals to the prurient interest in sex. under law, anyone who controls the premises of a commercial enterprise is prohibited from allowing any lube performance in the presence of Anyone younger than 18 years of age, end quote. That's what the bill does say you can't gyrate and you can't be naked in front of minors. The businesses will be held accountable and the people doing so, they'll face criminal accountability if they do that. You want to talk about a, devolution in society? Texas had to pass a law, guys, to stop that from continuing. And you know why? Because it was happening in other parts of the country, but it was happening in Texas. Governor Greg Abbott signed the bill into law, but before the law could take effect, which it was scheduled to take, effective September of 2023, I will remind you we're in November of 2025. Up until this date, the state has been prohibited from enforcing that law because there were miscreants in our country who sued to prevent Governor Abbott in the state of Texas from that law going into effect. Now just, just sit with that for a moment. Texas has minors. They clearly have an interest in protecting their minors from having their development Skewed and having their innocence intruded upon by adults who much prefer their sexual expression to the development of minors. No, no. In fact, they think, no, no. We want to change the miners development. We want them to be comfortable with grown men thrust in their midsections in the face of children and to have the useful idiot adults who will bring their children to this type of insanity. They passed a law. Whatever happened to, you know, he who does harm to the least of these, that our collective investment in wanting to protect children, but that we've gotten to the place where we have people that are so corrupted that they would actually fix their mouths to say wicked things like, oh, no, it's better for the health and development of the child if they're exposed to this kind of things. You know, family friendly drag shows and whatnot. Guys, if that's not one of the most oxymoronic statements, I don't know what an oxymoron is. Family friendly perversion displays, guys. that's absurd and insane. So Texas had to pass a law. Probably some of the same people. Not a probably. I know, because it's, you know, Pride of the Woodlands and all of these so called pride groups, they want to sue for the right for adults to thrust their genitals around in the front of minors to gyrate and so on. Guys, this is, this is a wicked world, man. This is a wicked world. So they sued to stop the law from going into effect. Thankfully, today, United States Court for the fifth Circuit, United States Court of Appeals for the fifth Circuit reversed the district court injunction and says, listen, Texas can start enforcing their law while we evaluate the constitutionality of the law, but there's nothing in the law that says it has to be preliminarily enjoined from going into effect. Listen to and watch this clip. It's clip number two. Clip two from a local report on this issue. Clip two, go.
Federal appeals court rules Texas law banning drag performances where children present unconstitutional
Ah.
>> Speaker H: Texas can now enforce a 2023 law that's been tied up in legal battles. A federal appeals court ruled this week the law banning drag performances where children may be present can stand under the law. Businesses can be fined for hosting, quote, sexually oriented, end quote, performances with children present. Violators could also face misdemeanor charges. The law was declared unconstitutional in 2023. This week's ruling is an appeal to that decision. The federal appeals court sent the case back to district court, which will now consider the Texas Attorney General's role in enforcing the law.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: This, this, this is despicable. You know, I think about can, can you imagine the founders, the founders reaction. Like think of imagine old George Washington and John Adams and Thomas Jeff, they sitting there, sitting around and, and do you think they would have envisioned for one moment that the First Amendment would be used as a, as a vehicle to say, yeah, by the way, we, we should protect these displays of perversion and their rights to have children present for them. How do you think they would respond to that?
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Hm. Guys, this is despicable. And this is one of those moments where I'm grateful for the state legislators in Texas and the governor and the attorneys and the judges that are involved at the 5th Circuit, not the district court judges in this instance. That's a perfect example of why I've said that we need people functioning in those capacities. But here's the other capacity. What has happened to our populace where now you got grown folks who have no shame. They'll come out and say, yeah, we have a right to do this in front of children. In front of children. Guys, we are living in a Romans one world. If you wonder what it looked like, what did Romans 1 look like when it says that, you know, that men suppress the truth in their wicked conduct, they fail to retain God and knowledge and they have become debased and futile in their minds. Guys, m. This is what it looks like. We used to understand we needed to protect children's innocence. Now you have people think they're being bold and courageous because they'll bring their seven year olds, their five year olds to watch a man gyrate his genitals in a dress. I'm highlighting this, guys, to demonstrate what is happening in our society. Don't think for one moment that that societal degradation is unrelated to the proliferation of pornography in our country. Some of you remember in the show I did with Heidi Olsen, the sexual assault nurse examiner, that in previous generations, those who had the audacity to try to, you know, get involved with the Playboy magazine, they were shamed. It was secreted. It was something they, they would, they would, they would pursue and would be embarrassed if it was exposed. Do you realize that's not the case for our young people now? And again, as I've said before, the young people that we have, they all come from somebody's family, somebody's homes because by and large there's been a, a gross, gross negligence in terms of cultivating the hearts and minds of our fellow, of our citizenry. There is a job that the church is to do that generally speaking, has not been done. How many of these people who've been, frankly, sexually abused by someone who has been corrupted via pornography. And then the one who has been abused has their entire concept concerning identity and sexuality completely skewed. And then they later have children and say, yeah, there's nothing wrong with me taking my child to the. Take this story, for example. And I saw this report when it came out, and I didn't talk about it because I was concerned that people were responding to it in an incomplete manner. So what I'm talking about, a researcher by the name of Eric Kaufman produced a report titled the Decline of Trans and Queer Identity among Young Americans. The report went on to explain that the share of college students identifying, excuse me, as a gender other than male or female has dropped. Right. So up until, 2023, the numbers of college students identifying as other than male or female was increasing annually. Now all of a sudden, it's decreased. And I saw lots of the talking heads. Oh, this is evidence that the tide is turning. The culture has changed. This shows that their whole identifications with transgenderism was just a temporal fad. It was a fad. And while I do believe that that is true, I'm gravely concerned because that is incomplete. Why do I say it's incomplete? The deeper question I have is why is it that something so foundational to us as a humankind, foundational to us as our identities and our identifications according to the two sexes God has created, why is that something that could be in such a state of flux? My concern is why is it that it is so easy for a change so foundational like that to happen? And I strongly believe it's because something in the fabric of our society is broken, that people are looking for a foundational truth and understanding and identity in places other than from God's holy word, as affirmed by science, which amplifies to me, and I know, like Abe, you hitting that note which amplifies to me the same thing I've been saying. Darkness is not an affirmative force, but it reoccupies the space vacated by the light. If you don't know who you are, don't worry. The world will tell you. The world will give you an identity. And whatever notions are, the most popular are the ones that will be pursued. But what does the scripture tell us? Ephesians 4. The Lord gave us his bride to be the peeling ground of truth. But to do what? To equip the saints for the work of ministry. For what purposes? Until we grow into the full measure and stature of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, no longer blown to and fro by every wind of doctrine, guys. Truth has a stabilizing function. Truth has an anchoring function. But when we have a society that is unmoored from the truth, a society that may want to enjoy some of the benefits that are produced from the truth, but the society nevertheless wants to reject that truth, those two things cannot endure together. They cannot. So my prayer even before coming on this show is that the Lord would bless us with an urgency concerning the necessity of obeying what he commanded us, as recorded all the way back in Matthew 28, that there would be a fervent commitment, a fervent return to his instructions to make disciples. That the love for God would, would be displayed through our loving, eternity based, biblically anchored commitment to loving our neighbors as ourselves. So much so, that we'll be willing to even interrupt our own schedules to be a part of what God is doing. Because when we love the Lord, we love His Word, and we love His Word, we love his creation. And the prize is not the results, the prize is the obedience. But that we would come face to face once again with the necessity of obeying, it starts right in our own homes. As you know, Vodi Bakam said, you know, he's passed on now. We can't keep sending our children to Caesar for cultivation of the minds and hearts and yet waxing shocked when they come home as Romans. The story of America's secularization didn't happen in the streets. Much of it transpired right in our own homes, with us not even being aware that it's happening. But I know, I know, I know, I know. Just as sure as uncircumcised Philistines fall before David's, that God is still in the business of opening the hearts and minds of people. And if we will respond to him in obedience, there is no telling what God will do. There's no telling. Let's be about our Father's businessman. He's ordained us for this moment. Let's not miss our moment. The views and opinions expressed in this.
