Welcome to the Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio

>> Donald Trump: And now the Hamilton Corner.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Good evening everyone. Welcome to the Hamilton Corner here on American Family Radio. I'm your host, Abraham Hamilton iii. Grateful to be with you as we kick off this brand new week. Delighted to be with you here in studio, man.
Many of you are making your transition from part time jobs to full time jobs
So much is happening in the world all around our country. Nevertheless, God is faithful. At this very moment, many of you, if not most of you, are making your transition from your part time jobs where you generate an income to your full time jobs where you cultivate an outcome. And as you do so, I want to remind you to do it with intentionality. Understand the primacy that God places on family. Welcome his view. His view to inform your engagement in his world. Know one of the major things, a lesson, a lesson that I had to learn at, at a young age and I'm continuing to learn even as I stand now. The scripture says the way of the transgressor is hard. The way of the transgressor is hard. And it is unfortunate that there's still so many who stand firmly against the will of God, which is actually the best thing for us, at every point and in every metric. But he is rejected so consistently because of misunderstanding, because of ignorance, succumbing to deception. But we have a fresh opportunity with the new mercies that are afforded to us with a fresh sunrise to reverse that phenomenon. So as you're making your transition right now from your part time jobs where you generate an income to your full time jobs where you cultivate an outcome, understand what it is you get the opportunity to do. You have a fresh privilege, a fresh opportunity to be a part of the team that is executing the King's dominion, executing the Kings commission that is being established. The kingdom of God is established in the hearts and minds of people. One of the privileges of being a believer is that we get to live life in light of eternity. What to say? Differently from heaven down with the glorious hope and expectation being the fulcrum and the foundation from which we engage in life. It gives life to every aspect of our encounters, our interactions, our relationships, and as a result of understanding that well, man, we get to bear maximum fruit and enjoy the privileges of what the Hebrew writer describes as the peaceable fruit of righteousness. So as you're making your transition, recognize, man, what goes on in your house is far more important than what goes on in the White House. Right now we have the shenanigans happening on Capitol Hill. What are we in day what, 32? 31. 32. 34. We're at 34 today. One more day, we'll tie for the longest government shutdown in American history. One more day. Though the government may be shut down, the kingdom of God is not shut down, and we have a responsibility to function that way.
Church is called to bear one another's burdens in Scripture
Now, for those who may have difficulties in your areas, and we had a caller last week, who discussed this. this is a perfect opportunity for the church to love on those who are closest to us. You know, one of the benefits of being a member of the body of Christ is that we bear one another's burdens, and that is what we are commanded to do in Scripture. Man. My heart breaks for the fecklessness and the weakness in many sectors of our society. But it. It's. But it. It is heartening to know that no matter what transpires temporally, that God is still in control. To the word of God we go.
Jeff McIntosh: Second Corinthians, chapter 10 is where I want to go
Second Corinthians, chapter 10. Second Corinthians, chapter 10 is where I want to go. And this is, by way of reminder. Second Corinthians, chapter 10, verses three through five. You know, I was reflecting on what Peter wrote in the first chapter of his second Epistle, when he acknowledges that, you know, I'm close to having. The time of my departure is near, but it is no trouble for me to remind you of these things, though you already know them. This is what Peter says. You know them, but it's no trouble for me to remind you of these things. And even he even says, and to comport myself in such a way so that after I'm gone, that after I'm gone, you will be mindful of these things. Second Corinthians, chapter 10, verses 3 through 5. The apostle Paul is writing here, and he's, being moved, inspired by the Spirit of God. And this is what he says. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful. Divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God. And, we are taking every Thought captive to the obedience of Christ. The main thing I want to remind us of in this moment, there's really several things, but one overarching thing. I want to remind the believer to fight like a believer. Refuse to adopt the ways of carnality to battle carnality. Refuse to allow your temporal environment to dictate to you new marching orders that are foreign to what the Lord has prescribed to us. I've long. Well, yeah, I've long said, and I have been saying recently even that one of the great challenges of the moment that we're in is that we're looking to often socio. Political answers to spiritual problems. We're looking to. For sociopolitical answers to spiritual problems. I, I am, I will never be one of these people who would say, man, see, because everything is spiritual. You, you. You don't need to worry about voting and you don't need to worry about getting elected. that, that. Honestly guys, that, that is. First of all, it's counterproductive. Second of all, it's unhelpful. But honestly, it is an affront to a high and holy God who by his divine providence and grace placed us in this land with the freedom and the accesses that we have. If the. To say it differently, if the Lord didn't want me to be involved in using my civic citizenship to be salt and light, he could have very easily put me in. In communist China. Cause guess what, you have no say so civically in communist China. He could have very easily, you know, made me an Iranian. You know, so. So. So that's. That's just a foolish. Jeff, you got a visitor. That's just, that's just a foolish thing to say, you know. Jeff, we just doing a show here, you know. Jeff, got company. We. Hey, hey, Marty, me and you will here. I forgot to even said look. The corner contingent. We got Marty Sparks lighting up the dark in studio. You know, Mr. McIntosh, I mean, when you ready to do the show, you just let me know. You know, we, you know. All right. The real tamac often imitated. Maybe somebody got a 3D printer trying to duplicate you. I don't know. I don't know.
We need people on the front lines in the civic sphere
All right, let me get back on track here. The prevalent and abounding issues that we have in our society, guys, they're spiritual at the root. And so we need people on the front lines in the civic sphere. I'm grateful for my brother Tony Perkins and frc and I'm grateful for our brethren at alliance defending freedom and my brother Matt Staver. Who has got a huge case pending before the Supreme Court right now. Private conferences this week on November 7th, Friday. Grateful for these brothers. But guess what else we need? We need the hands and feet of Jesus on the ground in our nation, appealing to the hearts and minds of people with the gospel and making disciples. If we have all of the civic engagement and we are not making disciples, what is going to be the result and the fruit of that civic engagement? It's going to ultimately fall flat. It's not either or, it's both. And we need all hands on deck. And I'm, And as I mentioned, I'm grateful for, you know, our team, AFA Action Engage on the front line and legislatures across the country and in Capitol Hill. You know, I'm grateful for our. Our friends, our brethren at First Liberty, you know, killing it. I mean, killing it. Doing amazing work. Our friends at Wall Builders, David Barton and the son, Tim Barton. We're grateful for all of these people. But guys, we have to do our part. This is what I'm saying. And we can't be, you know, the kind of. We're just gazing into the sky, you know, somebody is going to do something. No, that somebody is you and me. That somebody is you and me. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. Are, not carnal. It's an indictment upon the body of Christ that we have more professing Christians who will show up for a political rally than we show up, show up at our church's prayer meetings. That's an indictment. That's an indictment. It's an indictment when it comes to understanding or. Or should I say, considering those who invest themselves and sharing with their neighbors, that the first people usually come to mind are, you know, the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Mormons. That. That's an indictment. That's an indictment. So for too long we've had a reductionist understanding of being salt and light, and we have not understood the role that the body of Christ was to play in making disciples. And then I've been referring to John Adams, quote. John Adams is, quote, often in describing that because he says, man, we don't have a government that's sufficient to contend with an American citizenry whose morals are un. Who are unbridled by morality and religion. They'll run through our Constitution like a whale goes through a net. That's what John Adams said. And often we have people who will lament the features of, should I say the byproduct of. Of having a citizenry that has a A. A heart condition that is convicted by the Lord. Say, man, remember back in the day, you know, some of y' all may not have had this experience, but I. I remember growing up in New Orleans, my grandmother start putting burglar bars on her, on her windows, you know, and putting up gates and fences. And you have to ask yourself, is this to keep the burglars out or to keep us locked in? You know, and then the visit this is, you know, I'm growing up in New Orleans, and it's burglar bars on everything. And I, go to other parts of the country, say, man, these people need have to lock their doors. Why? Because in some sector. Sectors of our country, there's some people who don't think stealing is the hobby of the day, while in some sectors, and I know it because I've grown up in the environment where if. If you leave your door unlocked, unlocked, the criminal says, it's your fault that your stuff gets stolen. Because on the block, they'll say, caught him slipping, guys. Y' all think I'm kidding. I'm dead serious. Look at this one. Left their car door unlocked. Caught him slipping, like it's your fault if you don't lock your car door. And look, I'm not saying being foolish. I understand you have to be wise and all these kind of things, but the biggest and enduring need in America is repentance, man. And the problem, the major problem that is transpiring is that we are, in some segments of our society, willing to abandon biblical fidelity in exchange for political expediency. And I'm saying if we do that, we ultimately will lose. We ultimately will lose God. God said he established his church to be the pillar and ground of truth. And when I say ultimately we'll lose, what am I talking about? I am talking about both. And okay, if we have those who are willing to adopt the. The. The practices of rebels against Christ, but to say, hey, but at least we're winning elections, you may win the battle, but you lose the war. And then even worse than that, you have cascading in compounding quantities of our fellow citizens who face an eternity without submitting their lives to Jesus Christ and saving faith. And so instead of being a nation experiencing freedoms that mankind and prior generations couldn't even dream of, we snatch death, or should I say snatch defeat from a context of victory and not only have a winning of freedoms, but ultimately, and even worse, we have increasing quantities of people that face eternal damnation.
>> Jeff Chamblee: A, discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
>> Joseph Parker: Love gives love Seeks to bless love, seeks to carry out the work and.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: The will of God.
>> Joseph Parker: That's an important truth to understand. You know, the world often will say, I love you because you're pretty. I love you because you give me money or all sorts of things. But genuine love isn't a love that says I love you because someone says they love you. But they're always asking you for this and that, and they say, I love you, so you should do this for me. Again, that doesn't sound like love. Based on what the word of God teaches us. John 3:16 tells us, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes on him should not perish but have everlasting life. You know, when we're evangelizing and doing the work of disciple making, we're loving people. Remember the word of God and the spirit of God teach us to live a lifestyle of m ministry, reaching out to a world that desperately needs to be touched by the love of God.
Right now is the perfect time to rethink how you pay for health care
>> Jeff Chamblee: So right now may be the perfect time for you to rethink how you pay for health care. And here's why. This time of year is decision time for a lot of people, but it's also when you can join Metashare and save even more than usual. For many families, joining Medishare, means saving about 500 bucks a month, which is a game changer for a lot of people. But what's more, Medishare members like it. We know this from member surveys. They like it a lot. It's a proven thing. Now, Medishare has been around for over 30 years. It's a Christian community of hundreds of thousands of people now. And here's the thing, too. If you join before November 15th and you mention the promo code share, they will waive your application fee. So you save 100 bucks right off the bat. I'll give you the number here in a second, but just call and you'll get a price within two minutes. Again, the deadline is November 15th, so call now, you'll save even more. Here's the number. Call 83344 Bible. That's 83344, Bible. 83344 Bible.

Abraham Hamilton III: When a church closes the Bible, it loses gospel
>> Donald Trump: Light into the darkness. This is the Hamilton corner on American Family Radio.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner. Abraham Hamilton III here. I wanted to share something with you that I saw and it actually is going to relate to what we talk about, some of the things we talk about in the show today. I saw this minister and he was talking about the cathedral the, the Hagia Sophia. All right. The Hagia Sophia derives from the Greek words hagia, meaning holy Sophia, meaning wisdom, the church of holy wisdom. And he was talking about how, a modern Presbyterian church, its architectural structuring was, very similar. It was, it was, it was similar to the way that Hagio Sophia was constructed. he said, but there was a unique difference there, There was, there was a unique difference between the modern Presbyterian Church and Hagia Sophia. Currently. Currently. And I wanted to, to present this to you just to ponder as we are facing things in our own nation. We're seeing things happening all around the world. Listen to and watch. This is clip number five. Listen to and watch clip number five. Go.
>> Donald Trump: If I showed you photos of the Hagia Sophia, you would think that its 10th Presbyterian is a mini Hagia, Sophia church. But do you know the main difference in the Hagia Sophia? There is no pulpit. There's not even a single Bible in the Hagia, Sophia. Do you know why? Because the Hagia Sophia today is an Islamic mosque. The largest Christian church in the ancient world. World is today an Islamic mosque. The church lost the gospel. And how did it lose the gospel? Because it closed the Bible. When a church closes the Bible, it loses the gospel. And, soon after, it loses the church entirely.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Guys, don't close your Bibles. I saw this clip and I was so stirred and, and just thinking about what has happened. You know, for example, we think about, think about the churches mentioned in the book of Revelation, Revelation 3. You know, Smyrna, Thyatira, Leodisia. You know, it goes on and on and on. Think about Paul's letter to the church at Ephesus, you know, the church at Colossae. Do you think there's any evidence of a Christian witness in those places? Now think about what has happened in world history, what's unfolded in these areas. And now as you're considering that some of you tuned into the program I, I, I did with my brother Israel Wayne, who lives in the state of Michigan, and I learned a correction to one of the cities is Hamtramck, Michigan. And think about Dearborn. What's, what's happening right, right here in our own nation. In our own nation. Israel said that, that Sharia has not been formalized in Dearborn, but there is a functional Sharia in Dearborn in, in, in America, guys. In America, the efforts to establish Epic City in North Texas, north, in the North Dallas, north of Dallas area. And am I saying we should, you know, have this zealous March. No, no, no. Open your Bibles. Don't close your Bibles. Don't close your Bibles. I know it's not in vogue to the world, but guess what? It is. It is eternal compassion that compels me to share the gospel with my neighbor. I'm not trying to bludgeon them with the scripture. I'm not trying to browbeat anybody. It's because I believe the truth of God's word. I believe eternity is real. That's right. In the DFW area too. Think about what's happening. And we've been talking about it routinely here. We reported the story of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Christians were rounded up, then brought right before the Protestant church in town and then beheaded in front of the church, built the church building. What's happening currently in Sudan? What has been happening for quite some time in Sudan? What's happening in Nigeria? You know, guys, this is. This is real. It's very real. And the methods are not the same, but the intensity is the same. That the effort to destroy the Christian witness as, for example, demonstrated in Nigeria. You think Satan has any less intensity in his desire to crush the Christian witness in America? No, no. The intensity of the. Of the. The met. The. The intensity of the strategy is the same, although the methods are different. Again, in Second Peter, chapter one, Peter wrote, you know, if these qualities are yours and they are increasing, they will fortify you against being useless and unfruitful in your knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Think about the majority of the professing church in America today. Would you say it is fruitful and useful, or would you say something else? See, there are lots of things circumstantially and environmentally that have been foisted upon the believer in our country that are generated from satanic launching pads to keep the body of Christ docile and distracted and materialist and concerned about everything but proclaiming the gospel and making disciples. Having a believer to think it's actually an exercise in immaturity. If you actually have sharp convictions that you abide by, that you're trying to live unstained from this world. Oh, no, you're immature if you do that. You're mature. If you can live in such a way where you can, you know, instead of what must I do to be saved? How close to the worldliness line can I get and still have my social club car status and just a couple places of introspection and examination.
Where on your hierarchy of commitments and investments does the souls of men come in
Where on your hierarchy of commitments and investments does the souls of men come in Are we concerned about the spiritual condition of the people that we interact with on a daily basis? Are we concerned that it's appointed unto man once to die, and then the judgment? How about the elevation of what they call a quote unquote, social gospel? Guys, can I tell you plainly, there is no social gospel. There is the gospel and the fruit that is produced by the gospel. If you see a man who's in the cold and you give him a coat, you may warm his body. But where does the gospel come in? If you're willing to give a man a coat to shield his body from the cold and there is not even a hint of consideration for his soul eternally. This, this is what I'm saying. When I, saw that, it struck me. You close your Bible, you lose the gospel. You close your Bible. The witness of the church ultimately is what is compromised.
President Trump made two public statements about Christians being slaughtered in Nigeria
Over the weekend, President Trump made two statements about. Two public statements about the wicked slaughter that is transpiring in Nigeria. First he made a statement, then he amplified it. First he made a statement and said this, quote, christianity. He posted this on Truth Social, by the way. He said this, quote, christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria. Thousands of Christians are being killed. Radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter. I, am hereby making Nigeria a country of particular concern. But that is the least of it. When Christians or any such group is slaughtered like it's happening in Nigeria, slavery, something must be done. I am asking Congressman Wriley Moore, together with Chairman Tom Cole and the House Appropriations Committee, to immediately look into this matter and report back to me. The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria and numerous other countries. We stand ready, willing and able to save our great Christian population around the world, end quote. Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America. Then on Saturday, he ramped it up. He ramped it up on Saturday. He says this, quote, if the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the USA will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria. It may very well go into that now disgraced country, guns a blazing, to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities. I am, hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our cherished Christians. Warning the Nigerian government better move fast. That last line was in all caps, by the way. President Trump had his true social fingers already. And if you, if you know, he doesn't type himself, he dictates what is typed but he all. But he reads it before they press post to which, after this went out, Pete Hegseth, Secretary of War, responded, and he posted this on. On the Artist Formerly known as Twitter on X. He responded, quote, yes, sir, the killing of innocent Christians in Nigeria and anywhere must end immediately. The Department of War is preparing for action. Either the Nigerian government protects Christians or we will kill the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities. End quote. Y' all think he's playing now? I have to tell you, I. I am not a fan of America serving as the world's police. You know, I'm not a fan of that. But I have to tell you this. I appreciate the president responding to this issue, and I can tell you what I think he's doing. I believe. I don't believe the president intends to put any kind of boots on the ground in Nigeria, anything like that. But I think one of the major things he's attempting to do is elevate this issue to international importance, because once he's learned about it, I've seen him now in two terms as president, and then in the four years, in the intervening years when Mr. No Malarkey and his auto pin, you know, took a nap together, you know what I mean, with auto pin was awake. but. But. But I believe he's bringing this to international attention. Now, let me. Let. Now let me say I do not think he's playing, though. I do not think he's playing. And the thing is, a lot of people complain to. Talk about a lot of other things, but when he talks about the immediate withdrawal of international aid and even just the mention of, the United States's involvement militarily, especially following what we saw with the B2 bombers, I think, at this juncture, I'm very confident that he knows exactly what he's doing. And so do not be surprised if all of a sudden you see a slight change. But here's the thing that. That I am not certain that the president is aware of. And, well, let me not say it that way. M. I'm pretty. He probably is aware of. Is in his pressing this anyway, but there has been this kind of wink and nod relationship between, the Nigerian government and Islamic terrorists on the ground, because they know what's going on, and frankly, they tacitly support it. And not even just tacitly. They know what's going on, and they intentionally don't try to stop it, because many in the government of Nigeria want to see Christians eradicated. So you. You have that elevated to International concern.
President Trump orders Department of War to prepare for possible Nigerian attack
And here's another thing that believe the president is doing, because some of you may recall, other than on this program and other Christian networks and like Voice of the Martyrs and others, the media in our country wasn't discussing this at all. But guess, guess, guess who's discussing it now? Every media, every media outlet in the country is discussing it now. Like for example. For example, where is it? Where is it? Here we go. Listen to and watch this video. It's clip nine. It's clip number nine. Go.
>> Speaker E: President Trump is not mincing words here. This is what he said on Truth Social yesterday. If the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the USA will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria and may very well go into the now disgraced country country guns a blazing to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities. I'm, hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible attack. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our cherished Christians. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth got the message and says the Department of War is preparing for action. The response comes as the persecution of Christians in Nigeria has reached crisis levels. Islamist militants have burned down churches and Christian schools. And international civil rights groups estimate more than 50,000 Christians have been murdered in the country since 2009.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: While I'm glad they're covering it, it's more than double that number. It's more than 100,000. But now they're covering this, you see? And when the lights come on again, this is another lesson from the hood. You know, when the lights come on, the cockroaches tend to scatter. I am just. That's just. This is what it is. That's what it is, you know, so I'm. I'm exceedingly grateful for that. I'll be definitely watching to see the developments on that front. I'm gonna talk about a new sheriff in town, right? could you imagine auto pen responding to something like this? You know, in fact, it went on under auto pin, and they didn't say a word about it. Didn't say a word about it. So I'm heartened in that regard, you know, and to have, you know, Pete Hegseth. He could have responded privately. No, he responded publicly. Yes, sir. We're standing by. It's a different day, man. Don't put your Bible down. Don't close your Bibles, guys. Don't close your Bibles. We must remain vigilant and we must remain diligent. And to engage from the eternal perspective. Since heaven is our home, what do we have to lose? Live for the glory of the king. More Hamilton corn on the other side of the break. Y' all stay with us.
>> Speaker E: Children of course are given to parents, by God, not to the state. Children don't belong to the state and we need to make sure that those lines are very clearly protected. An increasingly secularized culture where the government has not only tried to make the church completely irrelevant, but basically replace parents.

Texas State Supreme Court rules against local judge who refused to issue same-sex marriage
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner. Abraham Hamilton III here, you know a wide ranging interview where President Trump on CBS was, was, was aired on CBS yesterday. He was interviewed by Nora, Nora o'. Donnell. And there were some interesting things in the interview but there's something that's very important that I want to bring to your attention. And, and basically it's two stories that, that are related. but there are developments that are, that are extremely significant for our nation's trajectory. And I'm talking about concerning the 2015 Rovers, not Roe vs. Wade, the Obergefell vs. Hodges decision from 2015. Well, the Texas State Supreme Court made a huge move that may not seem huge to many people, but it is nevertheless a huge move. In December 2019, there was a local justice of the peace, her name was Diane Hensley. Let me make sure I got her name right. Yes, it was justice of the peace Hensley, who, because of her Christian convictions, refused to issue a same sex marriage license. All right. She was disciplined by the state Commission on Judicial Conduct. In fact, they said, her refusal to issue marriage license for same sex couples. Same sex couples was, was something that cast doubt on her, quote, capacity to act impartially as a judge, end quote. So Hensley, in response, decided to no longer do any weddings as a judge because she didn't want to be accused of acting partially based on her religious convictions, however, and declining to, to do any further weddings. She ended up filing a lawsuit because Texas has a state law called Texas's Religious Freedom Restoration Act. You have that in state legislatures all across the country. That law is really on the books in almost every red state all across the country that simply says that their First Amendment, their First Amendment freedoms cannot be curtailed by the government. Right. So she filed a lawsuit on that front initially. Initially, she lost. But In July of 2004, the Texas Supreme Court reversed the judgment, against her, ruling that Hensley's religious freedom claims were clearly sufficient under Texas's Religious Freedom Restoration act and allowed her to continue with her civil litigation. Fast forward. Hensley's case made it all the way up to the Texas State Supreme Court. And last week on October 24, the court amended its canon for judicial ethics in the state, specifically Canon 4, and said, quote, it is not a violation of these canons for a judge to publicly refrain from from performing a wedding ceremony based upon a sincerely held religious belief. All right, I have a clip for you on this issue in this story. Listen to and watch clip number six. Clip number six, go.
The United States Supreme Court is holding a private conference Thursday on Kim Davis appeal
>> Speaker F: The Texas Supreme Court in the national spotlight after it changed the status quo when it comes to same sex marriage, issuing an interpretation of the judicial code of conduct that reads, quote, unquote. It is not a violation of these canons for a judge to publicly refrain from performing a wedding ceremony based upon a sincerely held religious belief. The change comes after this man, Jack County Judge Brian Umphries, filed a federal lawsuit against the state over fear he would be punished if he declined to marry same sex couples, something he says goes against his religion. We reached out to Umphries. he told us he could not comment on pending litigation, but the new rule changed from the state's highest court. Court appears to settle his case.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: So you heard there Judge Humphries another judge who similarly objected to the practice based on his religious freedom. Well, the state of Texas, boy, I had to do my arguments. The great state of Texas has said that judges have the lawful authority, the lawful authority based upon this sincerely, sincerely held religious beliefs to refrain from officiating and issuing same sex. Officiating same sex marriage, marriage ceremonies or issuing a same sex marriage license. Now, as I say that, some of you immediately are remembering what. Remember Kim Davis. Remember Kim Davis had the state of Kentucky done in 2015 with the state of Texas the Supreme Court had just done. Kim Davis would have never had any problems. But the opposite happened in 2015. Some of you may remember the story shortly after the Obergefell, decision was released by the Supreme Court, issued by the Supreme Court, Kim Davis as a clerk, a court clerk, declined to issue same sex marriage licenses. Then she, similar to Judge Diane Hensley in the justice of justice of the Peace in Texas, said, I won't do any marriage licenses. All right, well, some people don't know, some don't remember some of the gritty details of the case. But the individuals and I have their names here. David Irmald and David Moore sued Kim Davis personally sued her personally because they were not satisfied with having another clerk being willing to issue the marriage license. They wanted to force Kim Davis to put her name on their license. Yeah. And thankfully our friends at Liberty Council, Matt Staver represents Kim Davis. But Kim Davis has been involved in litigation for the last 10 years, guys. Because they threw her in jail. Remember that? She went to jail for six days. They find her. Then when these men sued her, they won judgments against her totaling over $360,000 in judgments against her. Well, guess what? Matt Staver, her attorney, and Kim Davis appealed that civil judgment against her all the way up to the U.S. supreme Court. And guess where that litigation is now. The United States Supreme Court is holding a private conference Thursday, this Thursday, to determine whether or not the full court needs to hear Kim Davis's appeal. Now, the court could do a couple things. First, the court could agree that they will hear Kim Davis's appeal. Some of you may be aware, in order for the Supreme Court to hear a case, it only takes, four of the justices to agree. We need to hear this case. Only four of the nine need to agree that they will hear the case. They are having that private conference on Thursday. And one of the major things, the major reasons why I'm presenting this to you is because I want to ask you to pray concerning this conference. Because what also could occur is that they don't have four judges, justices who agree to hear the case. They decline to hear the case, and then the, appellate court ruling stays in place and nothing goes forward. All right, but if the justices agree to hear the case, Matt Staver is making two arguments on Kim Davis behalf and presenting two questions, would present two questions to the full court. The first question would be whether the First Amendment is an affirmative defense to a government official sued in her individual capacity where the claim is for emotional distress allegedly resulted from hurt feelings connected to religious expression. See, the two men sued in the two classes of plaintiffs, I should say sued Kim Davis because they sought sought damages for emotional distress related to Kim Davis's refusal to issue marriage licenses for them initially. Excuse me, the next line. The next line of address is a big one. Kim Davis's attorney, Matt Staver, is asking the court to determine whether or not the Obergefell decision decision was wrongly decided and should be overturned. And the specific verbiage employed in the petition is whether or not Obergefell was, quote, egregiously wrong when decided, end quote. If that language sounds familiar to you, it should, because that is exactly what the court said when they overturned Roe in Casey. They said it was egregiously wrong when decided. Listen to and watch this clip discussing this, the potential of this case being heard. And this discussion took place last month, but the private conference will transpire Thursday, November 7th. Listen to and watch clip number 10. Clip 10. Go.
Kim Davis is appealing to the Supreme Court over her refusal to issue marriage licenses
>> Speaker G: Well, in recent years, Kira, we've been waiting for a case like this as some of the sentiment in the country has started to shift a little bit, softened, rather against same sex marriage. There's been a lot of talk about whether the justices would get a chance to reconsider the case. And as you said there, they are getting that opportunity next month. we've learned that Kim Davis, she's that contestant, Kentucky clerk From back in 2015 that was at the center of international controversy when she refused to issue marriage licenses to a gay couple in Kentucky in defiance of the Supreme Court. She spent six days in jail. she lost a defamation suit. She had to pay $100,000 in damages, $260,000 in legal fees. That's what she's appealing to the Supreme Court. But it's the first time, Kyra, that anyone has technically asked the justices explicitly to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges, which was that landmark ruling. And she does just that. Her counsel in this petition, which was filed last week, says that decision was egregiously wrong. And if that sounds familiar, that's the same type of argument that was made by opponents of abortion when they sought to overturn Roe v. Wade, just a few years ago. So a lot of eyes on this petition. It's unclear whether the court will take it up, but certainly a lot on the, the line.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: So this is here, this is here, this is happening. This is something that, that is worth your consideration and your prayer. Because a lot of the conversations we're having having now concerning, you know, children, being born in the wrong bodies and all of these kind of things. Do states have the authority to protect, they're minor citizens from transgender surgery and chemically class castrating drugs and things of that nature. All of those things flowed from downstream from the Obergefell decision. The Bostic case came to us following the Obergefell decision. This is a big deal. This is a, this is a big deal. there are lots of things that can be said about legal strategy and, and, and, you know, what's the approach and things of that nature. But this is an opportunity. Is opportunity. It is an opportunity. And so I want to, invite you to join me and others around the country. That's absolutely right. It's child abuse, man. It's child abuse. It's absolutely child abuse. That is the transit of children. It's child abuse. Child. so I want to invite you to join me in many other, many others around the country in praying, for the will of the Lord to be revealed in our nation, man, and for us to reject the lie and the rebellion that we've embraced years ago.
President Trump was interviewed for 60 Minutes on Friday for an upcoming broadcast
All right, I mentioned that President Trump was on 60 Minutes and it's just, you know, a very wide ranging interview. It's funny, you know, they pre record the interview. So he, he recorded, Friday for the interview to be aired Saturday. So much stuff that wasn't included. Like, he mocked CBS for saying, hey, you guys paid me a lot of money because y' all edited that, that interview with he said her name, but y' all know she shall never be president. The remix, he said, but I like your new head of news there. Talking about Barry Weiss, who's now head of news at cbs, as the editor in chief there. But the conversation turned because President Trump just had a, A, a meeting with Xi Jinping in, in, in China. And he made some, some concessions, that is China made some concessions. Very interesting.
Norah Donald tried to get President Trump to discuss Taiwan on national television
but the conversation turned to President Trump on Taiwan and for some reason, Norah o' Donnell thought it was her, her, her Point her privilege and her position to tell to get the president to just, you know, say on national television what his plans might be should the Chinese attack. Listen to this craziness. It's clip number seven. Clip seven, go. You order US forces to defend Taiwan.
>> Donald Trump: You'll find out if it happens. And he understands the answer to that.
>> Speaker F: Why not?
>> Donald Trump: This never even came up yesterday as a subject. He never brought it up. people were a little surprised at that. He never brought it up because he understands it and he understands it very well.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Do you mind if I ask, when.
>> Speaker E: You say he understands, why not communicate.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: That publicly to the rest of us? What does he understand?
>> Donald Trump: I can't give away my secrets. I don't want to be one of these guys that tells you exactly what's going to happen if something. I don't want the other side knows. But, I'm not somebody that tells you everything because you're asking me a question. Question. But they understand what's going to happen. And, he has openly said, and his people have openly said at meetings we would never do anything while President Trump is president because they know the consequences.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: And then Norah Donald tried to get President Trump to slam ice. He didn't take the bait. Clip eight. Go. We don't have enough time. I can hear the music. The clip is only 30 seconds. See, we'd have been ready. Maybe we'll share that with you tomorrow. They try to get President Trump to slam ice. He said what? No, ICE hadn't gone far enough. You know why? Because American people are sick and tired of the insanity of illegal immigration. That's why. So though elites and various media outlets may not understand it and you have all of these propaganda stories trying to, trying to turn the tide of public sentiment on this issue, the simple reality is American people feel the weight of illegal immigration on the ground and the, absorption of at least 8 to 10 million people in four years is just unsustainable.
