“Let what you say be simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything more than this comes from evil” Matthew 5:37 (ESV).
Bryan Fischer pointed out that President Calvin Coolidge, in his July 4, 1926 speech commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, argued that the principles of the Declaration like… rights come from the Creator, all men are created equal, and government’s power derives from the consent of the governed… are fixed, final, immutable.
Those who work against these fixed principles cannot lay claim to progress.
So we should call them “Regressives" because working against the Declaration is absolutely backwards.
