13 Russian nationals and 3 entities were charged in an elaborate plot to sow discord in America starting in 2014 and included supporting Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein’s campaigns and organizing anti-Trump rallies after the 2016 presidential election.
While announcing the charges Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein emphatically stated not one American was involved in the Russian scheme.
