Bishop E.W. jackson discusses Charlie Kirk assassination on American Family Radio
Bishop EW Jackson: Welcome, everybody, to another edition of the Awakening podcast here on American Family Radio. Folks, I'm your host, Bishop E.W. jackson. I come to you on a very somber day. Obviously. wow. How do you. How do you maintain a sense of Christian joy, in the face of such evil as that which assassinated Charlie Kirk? Well, you can only do it by faith, can't you? Can't do it in the flesh because our flesh is too weak. We can't do it because things like this are too painful, too hurtful. they make you angry, they make you sad. And without faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and his ultimate triumph, you just be angry and bitter and hateful. But the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. And so we are not hateful. We are not bitter. We're godly angry. There is a godly anger, but it's not an anger that seeks to kill people or harm people or hurt people. It's an anger that seeks to right wrongs, that seeks to bring righteousness into a situation of sin and ugliness and depravity and degradation.
Today is Constitution Day in honor of slain American Charlie Kirk
Well, look, those of you who might be watching me right now will notice that I'll have my usual AFR office, backdrop, because today is a very special day. The day I'm recording this program for is September 17th. As I explained before, I usually do it just the evening before so that it's fresh and it's posted on, the day of, which is a Wednesday. Today, the day you're hearing. This is Constitution Day. And I want to, first of all, pay tribute to Charlie Kirk, because in many ways, Charlie Kirk embodies what it means to be a citizen of a constitutional republic because he understood that the way to deal with people with whom you disagree and ideas with which you disagree is to engage people, to debate them, to say, let's talk about it. Present your arguments. Let me present mine. Let's put them out there in the marketplace of ideas. Let's see what the American people, agree with. Let's see what they believe is right. Let's see if I can persuade you that I am right and that you are wrong and you can do likewise. I made this toy he called Prove Me Wrong. I think it's just a brilliant thing, particularly on college campuses, which are supposed to be. Supposed to be. They've ceased to be. But they're supposed to be bastions of freedom of speech. And of course, they've long since ceased to be that. But he was there pioneering what it means to live in a constitutional republic. That's how we resolve our differences. We talk, we debate, we share ideas. We don't kill each other. and sadly, he was rewarded for his faith and his patriotism and his responsible approach to American citizenship with violence. So let me just, before I go any further, say, of course we are praying for his family, praying for Turning Point usa, praying for all of his friends, the people around him, those who work closely with him. And we are praying that that movement will just continue to grow and thrive and prosper and will have an impact on this country. You know, my good friend Andrew Wommack has said that he believes we are in an awakening right now. And, you know, an awakening doesn't mean nothing bad happens. Sometimes the good that happens is often the result of something bad happening. And, you know, Turning Point USA could be thrust to the forefront of this awakening because of what's happened to Charlie Kirk. And don't get me wrong, just be clear on my theology. I do not believe God. Engineers, murders, assassinations, of people. We are in the age of grace. God doesn't do that. God doesn't kill people, because he's angry with them or because he knows they are wrong. this is the work of the devil. But God always takes what happens and turns it toward his good, toward his will. You find that In Ephesians, chapter 1, I believe, verses 10 11, where it says, God works all things according to the counsel of his will. So this man met this, this misguided, depraved, degenerate young man living with his so called transgender partner, decided that killing Charlie Kurt was somehow going to advance whatever cause he thinks he represents. Nothing could be further from the truth. Nothing could be further from the truth. As a matter of fact, he may have catapulted this thing into the stratosphere. So, I'm praying that that is exactly what happens. And all the signs are that that is what's happening. I mean, tens of thousands of people now are inquiring, how can I start a chapter on my campus? I think they had 3,500, campus chapters, and they've had, I think, over 30,000 inquiries to start new chapters. Folks, that is an explosion. Well, Jesus said, unless a grain of Wheat falls into the ground, it abides alone. But when it falls to the ground and dies, it brings forth much fruit. And Charlie Kirk, in his martyrdom, is bearing more fruit perhaps, than he even bore in his life. And by the way, let me add this. Charlie Kirk was indeed martyred. He is a martyr, but, you know, he's a twofold martyr in my estimation. He's a Christian martyr because he was standing up for the faith. The Bible says in the Book of Jude, we're supposed to earnestly contend for the faith that was once done, delivered to the saints. And he was contending for the faith. But, you know, I believe he's. He's a double martyr. And I want to come back to this point. I believe Charlie Kirk was also a martyr for the Constitution. This is Constitution Day because he was living out the constitutional principle of freedom of speech. And freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, are all matters of freedom of conscience. And he was standing up for freedom of conscience, which is really the essence of being a free human being, that you have the right to follow your own conscience, not to have it dictated to by a president, a governor, a king, a potentate, a queen, a dictator, whatever, and that we resolve our differences, therefore, with this free exchange of ideas, with persuasion, not with persecution and violence and murder.
It's time for society to admit that sexual liberation movement is societal poison
before I want to amplify that, I got so much to cover today. Please pray for me that I can. I can get it all in. It is time for us to admit. And when I say us, I mean a society, not you. You and I, as Christians, don't have any problem admitting this when we know it's true. It's time for society to admit that this whole sexual liberation movement is really becoming what I have called it in the past and what I have been absolutely excoriated for calling it. Societal poison. It is societal poison. it is the potion of suicide. Because we've had three instances now of really vicious violence. I'm talking about a little domestic dispute between two people. We're not talking about, you know, a, fight that erupts after some party. We're talking about three major violent events. One down in Nashville, the one in Minneapolis, attacks on children in schools. And now the assassination of Charlie Kirk by this guy who I don't know what you call him. I said, well, because I said, he's straightened. Somebody straightened me out and said, well, he can't be straight because he's living with a man who is trying to be a woman. So you'd, have to describe him, I guess, as a homosexual, I guess. But again, folks, I don't know. you know, this stuff is so convoluted and confusing that you can't even really talk about it in clear, logical ways because it's just not logical. There's nothing, nothing coherent about it. It is inherently incoherent. It just doesn't make sense. But nevertheless, he's all caught up in that. And apparently the hatred that he's talking about Charlie Kirk spewing, I guess, is Charlie Kirk's espousing a biblical worldview on human sexuality. I had read some preacher happened to be a black preacher. And boy, that's another topic I hope I can get to today, some of these responses by these so called, quote unquote, black leaders. talking about Charlie Kirk was a hater and, we don't have to honor him and we don't have to blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, because he was a racist, this, that and the other. And I said, well, where's your proof number one? Where's your proof number two? Maybe you're the hater because without any evidence you are slandering this man, you are dancing on his grave. Maybe you're not even a Christian. Well, this drumbeat of, these homosexuals and transgender activists and so called, because you can't transition, but they call themselves that. and these people on the left who have been constantly. And folks, if you've been listening to me, you know, I said this, I said this probably a year ago or longer. I said it during President Trump's first term. When you call somebody a fascist, when you equate them with Hitler, when you equate, as people have done with Donald Trump, equate them to Osama bin Laden, when you equate as it's been done with us, us with the Christians, as Tim Kaine did with the Iranian mullahs, because we believe our liberty and rights come from God. Aren't you, in a maybe not so subtle way saying these people deserve to die because what did we do with Osama bin Laden? We m killed him. And what would we have done with Hitler if we could have gotten our hands on him during World War II? We would have killed him and nobody would have regretted it or seen it as an unjust act because this man was slaughtering people around the world and had created a world war. Killing him would have been an act of justice and mercy for everyone else. When you equate Donald Trump or Charlie Kirk or me or whoever with some Nefarious character. Folks, this is. This is. But this is what they do. I don't know. I think I may have told you all this, but this was a long time ago when I was in Boston, and they were having a whole busing fiasco. And, you know, they were calling all the people in South Boston were racist because they were trying to stop the buses from coming in. And look, there's no question there was some bad stuff that happened, and I am not justifying it at all. But I said from the beginning, how in the world are you improving the education by sending poor black children into a poor white neighborhood where people. That is very, very, very insulated South Boston. Any of you know about it? South Boston's a very, very insulated community. Maybe less so now. But when I was there, and it was an Irish stronghold. And if you went into Southie, you better know somebody in there who is sort of escorting you. Because it was kind of a closed community. That's just the way it was. That's not. I'm not saying it was good, but that's the way it was. They weren't busing these black children into these ritzy suburban neighborhoods. They weren't taking them out into places like Wellesley or, some of these other, you know, Winchester neighborhoods around Boston. Very, very nice, beautiful houses, you know, manicured lawns, Mercedes Benz and Caddies and Bentleys in the garages. No, they weren't taking. No, no. They were taking them Southie. Southie would be the heart of the black neighborhood, was Roxbury. Heart of the, south was one of the poorest neighborhoods in Boston. And I came against it and said, I don't see. It's not right. You're not helping anybody. I wasn't justifying the violence against buses or any of the nasty things that some people said. But I made the point that, to tell these folk that you're going to encroach on their neighborhood just basically by governmental fiat, this judge decided he was going to do it. Didn't affect his neighborhood. And so, you know, I was called the George Wallace of the North. Yeah, A black man. The George Wallace of the North. What happened to George Wallace? Somebody shot him. See, when they. When they, Of course, George Wallace ultimately repented and developed, a following in the black community. People loved him. so the man had a transformation in his life. But people label you this way not just because they don't like you, not just because they want to slander you. I think they, in some ways, label you this way because they're hoping that somebody will take you out. Now, the polling is quite clear. This is emanating from the left. It is not coming from conservatives. I have said over and over and over and over and over again. And those of you who have heard me, you know I've said it. We don't hate those who disagree with us. We don't hate our opponents. We're not.
Charlie Kirk received death threats for speaking out against racism on college campuses
We don't want to hurt them. We don't want to shoot them. We don't want to kill them. We believe they are. They are gargantuanly wrong. But we love them. We pray for them. We will fight everything they try to do and stand for with every available tool at our disposal. Except violence, except anything that's dishonest or dishonorable. But we will argue, we will protest. We will marshal our facts and our logic and our resources every way we can to defeat their very evil ideas. But we love them. We want these people to go to heaven with us, man. We want them transformed. I say, my desire is to see people in heaven who hated me on earth and hug my neck and say, I'm so glad you didn't give up on me. I'm so glad you didn't think of me the way I thought of you. Thank you, man. that's my desire. My desire is not to kill our enemies. But the left doesn't know God. And so they don't have the love of God shed abroad in their hearts by the Holy Spirit. And we do. And folks, don't get me wrong, Charlie Kirk was asked, well, you know, you've gotten death threats, and, what are you doing? And maybe you shouldn't appear here, there. And Charlie Kirk would say, look, of course we take precautions. Of course we do what we can, but we can't quit because somebody threatens us. And folks, as Christians, that's got to be our attitude. You know, the Bible says in the book of Proverbs, the wicked flee when no one pursues. But the righteous are bold as a lion. And we're supposed to be. I wish we could wake up some of these pastors, if they're really Christians, wake them up who have been on the sidelines, refusing to get involved, and get them to start speaking up and talking to their people and telling them, you've got to take a stand for righteousness. Charlie Kirk took a stand for righteousness, and he died for it. He took a stand for Jesus and he died for it. Did you see the video of, him, Dealing with that demonic person who came up to him in a goat's head and started chanting some kind of nonsense. And Charlie Kerr said, I repudiate that spirit in the name of Jesus. And then as the man was walking away, he said, jesus is the way, the truth and the life. And yet you've got even people claiming to be Christians denouncing Charlie Kirk. Either they're not Christians, they don't recognize a brother in Christ when they see one, or they're so. So caught up in racial idolatry that they can't see. They're in such a backslidden condition because they bow down to an idol of race that they can't see. I'll tell you something, folks. I have been inspired by this young man. You know, he's young enough to be my grandson. And I've decided a couple things as a result of this. And, I really believe these are of the Holy Spirit. Number one is I really want to do in the black community what Charlie Kurt did, for college campuses. I want to set up some meetings. I've done this in the past, but I've never had the resources to really follow up and really make something of it. Just persist at it. Because, folks, you know, don't you. And God bless him. He started at 18 years old. Charlie Kirk had to have millions of dollars to do what he was doing. Millions. This stuff wasn't happening for free. I know people would have Charlie had Charlie to come speak for them. And, I won't get into inside baseball, but I knew what the fee was to have him come speak. and, you know, some people said, man, that's expensive. But you know what, folks? He had to travel with a coterie of security. And, ah, I mean, on a smaller level, I know exactly what that's about because I've had people invite me to come speak. I tell them, well, I bring security everywhere I go. That's part of my expenses. And, you know, I've even had some people balk at that. And I don't charge churches to speak no matter what. But some organization wants me to come, and I tell them, well, that, you know, that's what it takes. I'd be. You don't really need that. We've got. We're taking care of that. And I said, well, no, no, I bring my own because your security is really not responsible for me. My security is, folks, we do this because we understand there are wicked people out there who want to hurt us. Undoubtedly a lot more of them wanted to hurt Charlie Kirk than want to hurt me. But they're out there, and it only takes one. As we've just seen, it only takes one. So I really believe that Charlie Kirk not only died for the faith, but that he also died for the Constitution of the United States. And so, in addition to, I'm going to really do everything in my power because, you know, I've said this. I've asked God for two things before I pass and leave this earth. I said, lord, I want to see my country. I want to see my country regrounded and rooted as in Judeo Christian culture and values and principles, as the preeminent dominating worldview of our nation. That used to be what we are, but that's been eroded by the left since the 1960s. But I want to see that come back before I leave this earth. And I really believe that's we're on our way. I really do. I believe we're on our way. And Charlie Kirk may have shed his blood to help get us there. Secondly, Lord, I want to see the black community wake up, up and unite with brothers and sisters in Christ all over this country to stand up for righteousness instead of wallowing in race. I mean, my brother or sister is not somebody who's got a dark complexion. My brother or sister is somebody who is. Who is. Has put his or her faith the Lord Jesus Christ, as I have. Charlie Kirk was my brother young enough to call him my son. I just didn't. I didn't know him, so I didn't have any personal, direct influence in his life. But Charlie Kirk was a young son in the ministry.
Charlie Kirk died as a martyr for the Constitution of the United States
And to have people who claim to be Christians denouncing him as a racist. I said, I mean, what are they saying about me? What are they saying about other black conservatives and Christians who say, you know, we love Charlie Kirk. We think Charlie Kirk was doing a magnificent job for the country. Wouldn't we, stupid. I mean, do you think I'd be rooting for Ku Klux Klansman or something? But these people don't know what they're talking about. Charlie Kirk was not a racist, and Charlie Kirk was not a fascist. Charlie Kirk was a child of the living God, and he was out there proclaiming the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And that was a major part of his ministry. And as a matter of fact, his wife said that he said if he ever ran for office, he said his number one issue would be reviving the American family. I said, man, Charlie, I'm with you 100%, son. 100%. So look, I really believe that Charlie Kirk also died as a martyr for the Constitution of the United States. It is under assault, it is being eroded, it is being, diminished. It, is being attacked, it is being undermined, it is being trivialized, marginalized, discredited, you name it. Oh, it was just written by a bunch of slave owners. Constitution's a racist document, all this nonsense. It is the most successful governing document in the history of mankind. It is the governing document under which you and I live. We are a constitutional republic. We are not a democracy. We are a constitutional republic. I hear some people call us a democratic republic. I understand what they're getting at and I wouldn't quibble with it, but that's not fully accurate because we're not a republic governed by democratic means. We, are a constitutional republic governed by democratic means. The republic implies representative government, but a constitutional republic is something else because it says the Constitution sets the parameters of that government and limits the power of that government. So that government cannot do anything it wants to do. It must itself be maintained and constrained within the limits of our God given rights that the government cannot transgress those rights. And the Constitution secures those rights. So the majority can't get together, vote away your freedom of speech. The majority can't get together and vote away, our freedom of religion. And the government can't say, well, you know what, we decided that's not a good idea, we're going to do away with that because the government didn't give us those rights, God did. And so in light of that, I've been calling for, September 17th, if you're listening, on, Wednesday, September 17th. This is Constitution Day. I'm sure you know that, but I am now calling, officially calling, for this day to be made a federal holiday. And I'm going to ask every congressman and every senator to join me in that and all of our constitutional leaders to join me in that to make September 17th a federal holiday. Because folks, and to do that in honor of Charlie Kirk, who in my view was a courageous advocate for the Constitution of the United States, that would be a great way to honor him. And also a unifier is something we, I mean, I can't believe, although I know there would be people, but I can't believe that there would be people say, oh, no, no, no, we don't want to do that. We're not going to honor our Constitution. Now, somebody said we want to do it in honor of Charlie Kirk, but I can't believe Anybody say, no, we're not done. No, no, no, no, we're not doing. We're not doing that. Some might be thinking it, but even those thinking it, some of them would be hard pressed to say it because then the cat would be out of the bag.
Tell me how you made Juneteenth a federal holiday
So now we know you are opposed to the Constitution of the United States. And then I'd love to see anybody opposing that who voted for Juneteenth. Tell me how you made Juneteenth a federal holiday, which is not a national event at all. It was a Texas event. But tell me how you made that a national holiday. And the passage of the Constitution of the United States, which affects every citizen all over this nation for all time. You don't want that to be a federal holiday. You know, we've got to begin to celebrate things which bring this country together. You all know that Stand has declared September to be Celebrate American History Month. Celebrate American History Month. And we chose this month because the 17th is Constitution Day. And we thought that's right. M almost smack in the middle of the month. And that's. This is the perfect day to celebrate. The perfect month to celebrate American history. Because our Constitution is the second. I mean, the passage of the Constitution, folks, is the second most important day, second most important event in the history of this country. I mean, I think that's indisputable, don't you? Because without that, we don't have a government. We don't have a nation, really. The declaration didn't give us a government. The Declaration simply declared independence from Great Britain, which took us five years of fighting to accomplish that. Thank God for George Washington, who led that fight. But even after that was over, we still didn't have a framework for governing ourselves. And the Constitution established that framework, and it has stood us in good stead for 238 years. That is what makes us an exceptional nation in large measure. That kind of stability. And, all this division, this racial disunity, this hatred, these aspersions cast upon people because of the color of their skin. And I'm not talking about black people. I'm talking about Americans of European ancestry declaring that somehow they're the repository of all evil. And if you're a white man. Oh, I mean, we, folks, this is wicked Constitution Day. A federal holiday. Something we can all unite around. Something we can all celebrate. I'm asking for your help. Now, look, there's a lot to talk about here, but let me just back up and tell you the reason why I've got this special Constitution Day Backdrop is I am also live streaming all day today from 9am to 7pm for 10 hours. I am live streaming, on a Constitution day. Stand a thon. See the word stand a thon. I want to thank AFR for that idea because, you know, I got that from afr, the Sherithon. I said, you know what? I'm going to try that. Although I don't have a, radio program, separate apart from afr, I've got this podcast, to do this in. But I decided I'd use my podcast to do it and use social media to do it. And I'll be on all day tomorrow. So wherever you watch me, if you watch me on social media at all, Facebook page, standamerica us thecall.org I'm on rumble. I'm on YouTube, the E.W. jackson YouTube channel. Wherever you watch me, I'll be on all day. Abraham Hamilton III is going to be one of my guests today. Matt Staver will be a guest today. Bob McEwen will be a guest today. Allen west will be a guest today. I've just got a number of great people who will be joining me. Ah, talking about the importance of the Constitution of the United States and the Judeo Christian values which undergird it.
Stand in Prayer for America calls every Friday at 12 noon Eastern Time
now we've been doing this for 76 days because as I said, the Lord laid on my heart, really, by revelation, because I didn't know this until this very year, that there are 76 days between July 4 and September 17, counting July 4, from July 4 to September 17 is exactly 76 days. September 17, 76 days from the past, from the Declaration of Independence passed on, July 4, 17. 1776. I mean, that's, that's amazing when you think about. Wow, I just. That just thrills me when I think about it because I know that's the hand of God working, to let us know that this nation is not an accident. We are a providential nation ordained by God before the foundation of the world. I'm asking you, you, my AFR family and I really believe that we are a family. I love you all. You all have been such a blessing to me. I, run into you around the country. I'm so grateful to see you always, anywhere, I appear have an opportunity to be. I'm grateful to see you, always grateful, for your prayers and your support, asking you all to join me. we're looking for patriot partners, people who will contribute to our efforts. If, you're not A patriot partner. I don't care whether it's just a dollar, five dollars, whatever it is, anything you can do will be a blessing to us because it will encourage us. So I'm asking you to do three things to pray for us. Ah, first and foremost, by the way, we have a, a stand in Prayer for America call every Friday at 12 noon Eastern Time. Go to our website, StandAmerica US and you can get the telephone number to call in for that prayer call. You can call in, you can pray, you can just listen in on the prayer. you can participate however you wish. But we'd love to have you join with us on that prayer call. but to pray for us now, for God to give us everything that is needed to do what he has called us to do.
Stand has three ways you can volunteer. You can become a Stand ambassador
And that brings me to the second thing. To volunteer. Now, we have three ways you can volunteer. You can volunteer to start a chapter wherever you are. and it's very simple to start a chapter. It does require some organizing effort, but you can start a chapter wherever you are. I think the rules are to assemble at least four people. But in order to learn more about that, you can call us at 7:57, 439. 1475-743914-58757-439-1458. and our, field department will talk to you there and, get you started. But if you don't want to start a STAN chapter, you feel like, well, that's more work maybe than I can do. But you want to get involved, let, us know. We will make you an ambassador. You can become a Stand ambassador. And all that means is you become a spokesperson for stand. You can speak for us at school board meetings, at city council meetings, at, whatever demonstrations or things that need to happen in your community to stand up for our values. You can there be a representative for Stand. You can get in touch with me. I will try to amplify what you're doing on the nationwide basis and, and get people praying for you and supporting you. so sure, you can take a stand on your own, but why not stand with us? You can become a Stand ambassador. You don't have any organizing responsibility. You don't have to try to recruit anybody. You can just, you can just do this on your own, and then we'll see what God does with that. And here's the third way. Maybe you have a skill, you have an ability, you have something that you know you can do that might be a help to an organization like ours. and I don't know what that might be. Rather than going through a list of various things that we really need, I'll leave that to you. You know what your gifts and abilities are. You know how you might be able to help get in touch with us, say, hey, you know, bishop Jackson, I'd like to volunteer to do X. And we say, well, you know what? Actually we use that. I just believe in the holy. Believe the holy spirit to lead you and guide you in what you might do. So volunteer. You can help us as a volunteer. And then third, of course you can give. So pray, volunteer and give. And if you want to give, you can do that on our website, standamerica us@standamerica us. or if you don't want to do that because some people aren't comfortable going online, but you wouldn't mind doing it if you had somebody to sort of take your information and do it, you can call our office, 757-375-6444. That's 757-37-5-6444. And if you're a person who I prefer to write a check, here's the address. And the address is also on the website, but I'll give it to you in case you don't have access to the web. You can just send a check to stand foundation, Inc. Stand foundation, inc. And you can send that to 1024 Center Brook Laine. And by the way, Brooke has an e on the end of it. Sending Center Brook Laine. And that suite F as in Foxtrot Dash 211. That's 1024 Center Brook Laine, Suite F as in Foxtrot Dash 211. And that's in Suffolk, Virginia. And the zip code is 23434.
I want to start a Charlie Kirk style campaign in the black community
now look, in terms of praying for us, there's so much God has given us to do. I just gave you two things that I really believe the Lord wants us to do. I want to start a Charlie Kirk style campaign in the black community and begin to engage these people. And you know, in order to do that, you got. I got to go around a lot of black leaders because a lot of these black leaders are obstructionists. They're in the way because, see, Planned parenthood is giving them money and the demon crat party is giving them money, and George Soros is giving them money, and they're getting me a pockets line to pay them to help kill black babies. And they're getting me a pockets line to pay them to go along with all this homosexuality and all this sexual deviancy. And so somebody like me comes along and shows up and folks, I've been cursed out by the best of them. And some of them have been preachers. Oh, yes. Oh, yes. I had someone to fight me physically, you know, but standing up for the truth. So I've learned you got to, sometimes you got to go around these people. When I was in Massachusetts, I was fighting the so called gay rights bill. I was trying to get these churches to get involved across all racial and cultural lines, because that's the way I operate. I don't deal with. I'm just doing the black thing. But this is one case I'm going to focus on the black community because people have got to wake up. I couldn't get the preachers to do anything. Oh, I'm too busy. I am too busy ministering to my people. I said, well, you know what? This is going to affect your people. Yeah, but that's politics. I have nothing to do with that. I started doing editorials on a radio station that I was running at the time, talking about some of the policies that were being implemented at the state level and city level. And I got the Christians in the community stirred up and they started going to their pastors saying, then Reverend Jackson. People knew me as Reverend Jackson. Reverend Jackson says, true is what he says, true is what he's saying true. Why are we doing anything? And guess what? The next thing I know, I'm getting calls from preachers. you know, Jackson, I might not agree with you all the time, but I'll tell you what, I do agree with you on this. I'm saying, well, I just asked you about it two months ago. You didn't agree, you didn't want to be bothered. But their people got stirred up and guess what? They knew which side their bread was buttered on. And all of a sudden I had buses full of people going to the State House in Boston, Massachusetts to stand against all these abominable bills. So I've got to have the resources to get around these so called leaders and go directly to the people. That's what we did in Chicago. Of course, we had a, wonderful pastor there. Pastor of New Beginnings Church, Cory Booker. Cory Booker, not Booker, folks. Brooks, who was willing to open his church up. But we had a wonderful crowd of people come and folks, you know what I find out that when they're given the truth, many people, and overwhelmingly, I think we had one person who stood up because I was saying we got to support the police. And people said, you know, you're right. We need them. one person stood up and said something against it, and that person, you know, didn't stick around. But overwhelmingly, people said, you know, you're right, but they're not hearing that. They're not hearing it, and we've got to give it to them. So that's a big project. that's. You know, that one meeting out in Chicago that we did. That meeting cost us $25,000, folks. What do you imagine these meetings that Charlie Kirk was setting up where thousands of people are coming and big venues are being rented. So pray for us that we will have endowment donors who will step up. And. And when I say endowment donors, folks, I'm talking about people who can give a quarter of a million, a half million dollars, a million dollars to the work that we're trying to do, to help us get off the treadmill and really be able to start projecting and planning for the future. This country needs us. Ah. And as I've said before, there's no other conservative organization in America that is dedicated as we are to bringing people together, Americans together, across racial and cultural lines, to unite and uphold and preserve our Judeo Christian heritage and values and principles as one nation under God. That's our bread and butter. That's what we're committed to doing. All the other programs grow out of that in one way or another. So pray for us that the Lord will raise a people who will help us to do what God has called us to do. Give us the resources that we need to do it. Amen. Excuse me, folks. It happens from time to time. so, look, pray for us. Everybody can do that, right? You may say, bishop, I don't have any resources. I don't have any money, but. Well, your prayers are sincerely coveted.
Today is Constitution Day, the second most important day in American history
I mean, sincerely. Because I know prayers open doors. You know, money can never substitute for prayer. Never. But prayers open all kinds of doors. Resources, people, money, you name it. So pray for us, okay? If you can volunteer, get in touch with us and give you the information. And if you want to give again, I've told you how you can do that as well. Listen, folks, this is Constitution Day. It's the most. It's the second most important day in American history. I don't think you can. Anybody can dispute that. and we need to be celebrating and thanking God that we have this wonderful Constitution that God has given us to secure our liberty and our rights, even against the power of the government to which we have delegated certain Responsibilities to serve us. Our government doesn't command us, our government doesn't rule us, or our government serves us. That's a very different concept. And praise God that he's raised up people like Charlie Kirk, and he raised up brother Don Wildmon, this network, American Family association, and of course, I could name many, many others that are on the front lines, and you'll meet some of them. Brandon Tatum, another young man, young black guy, former police officer in Dallas. he will be one of my guests, today on Constitution Day. So be sure you try to look us up and pipe in, sort of get connected in so you can watch some of that. I think you will really be inspired and uplifted and really enjoy it. look, folks, I have listened to, to so many commentaries on Charlie Kirk, including the one from his wife, of course, many of his own personal statements, too. And you know the thing I love most about what his wife had to say, she said, anybody who thought that killing my husband. I'm paraphrasing, perhaps not quoting, but anybody who thought that killing my husband was going to stop us. You have no idea what you have unleashed. And I say praise God because that's exactly how God works. For we know that all things work together for good. For those who love the Lord, she quoted that. And for those who are the called according to his purpose, for whom he did foreknow, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son. And those whom he predestined, he also called. And those whom he called, he also justified. And those whom he justified, he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own son, but delivered him, up for us all, shall he not also with him freely give us all things? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect is. Is God who justifies, you know, what our destiny is? Our destiny is not defeat, but glory and victory, because we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. And praise God. That's why, much, much older than Charlie Kirk, he wouldn't quit, and neither am I. And I hope the same is true for you. And I hope that those of you with children, grandchildren, other generations, I hope that you will make sure that they pay attention to what's happened with Charlie Kirk. And maybe if they have not been excited before, they will be drawn in. Because, folks, we've got to get this, this next, these, these future generations we've Got to get them lined up with the word of God so that America has a bright future. Because America can only have a bright future if we have people who are. Who appreciate what God has given us in this constitutional republic. By the way, before I go, one of the things I'm going to do. I'm really excited about this today, too. in the closing part of the program, I am going to lead everyone in a Citizen's Oath to the Constitution of the United States. And you, you will be able to, have us send you a copy of that oath. And you can sign it, you can frame it, and you can hang it, and you can tell your children, your grandchildren. This is a citizen's Oath to the Constitution that I took. Bishop E.W. jackson. Stan led us in a Citizen's Oath of the Constitution voluntarily. It's not by order of the government or anybody else. I did it voluntarily, just as a statement of my commitment to the Constitution of the United States. As a Marine, I took that oath. Some of you maybe have taken it as, law enforcement officers or as public officials, but most Americans have never taken an oath of the Constitution and never will, never will be asked to take an oath to the Constitution and shouldn't be asked by the government to take an oath to the Constitution. I'm simply offering you an opportunity to do so because I know that you love our country and love the Constitution of the United States. And I just. I just thought. I really believe. It's an idea that God gave me, and a neat. Would be a neat thing to do.
We are full of joy following Charlie Kirk's assassination last week
So, folks, I'll, tell you, I am. I started the program saying, how can we be full of joy at such a tragic event as that which took place last week in the assassination of Charlie Kirk? We can be full of joy because we know that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. And because we know that this joy we have, the world didn't give it, and the world can't take it away. And because Jesus said. Jesus said that up until now, he told his disciples, you've asked nothing in my name. He said, now ask in my name that your joy may be full. Our joy comes from Jesus Christ. And no matter what the devil does, he can't take that away from us unless we let him. And we are not letting him. So God bless each and every one of you. Keep your eyes on the Lord while we mourn Charlie Kirk's passing. And while we are godly angry at the. At the lies and the vitriol and the hatred produced that assassination. We are full of the joy of the Lord, because the joy of the Lord is our strength and we know we win. So I'll end it with that, encourage you to, if you have a chance, switch on over to one of the channels where our live Constitution Day stand a thon, live stream is happening and just join with us for as much as you can. We're going to be on 10 hours, but you can tune in and tune out as you need to, or you can leave it on in the background while you're doing other things. And that way you won't miss anything. But in the meantime, you know, it never changes. Look, this is what President Trump is doing. This is what Charlie Kirk has done. The. This is what his wife is committed to doing. And you all know this is what AFR is committed to doing. This is what AFA is committed to doing. This is what brother Don Wildmon is committed to doing and the Wildmon family are committed to. This is what every Bible believing, biblical worldview Christian is committed to doing. We have to be because it's what the Bible calls us to, to persevere, to just pioneer forward, or as I like to put it, to stand up, to step up, to speak up and to refuse to back up, knowing that we cannot be defeated if we will not quit because we are, on God's side. Happy Constitution Day, everybody. God bless you.
