The Nicene Creed affirms the belief in one God, the Father, and the divinity of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, equal to the Father, and the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life. It also declares belief in the one holy, catholic, and apostolic Church, and the hope of the resurrection and eternal life.
