>> Walker Wildmon: Welcome to The Core here on American Family Radio. Glad to have you with us on this brand new edition of The program. Glad to have you with us here on American Family Radio. Let's turn our attention to The scripture and then we've got a special guest and host, of another radio, program here on AFR that we're going to talk to here shortly. John, chapter 17 is where we are this week, looking at verses one through five. Jesus spoke these words, lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, father, The hour has come. Glorify your son, that your son also may glorify you, as you have given him authority over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him. And this is eternal life that they may know you, The only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. That's verses one through three and then you can read on there, about Jesus glorifying his father on earth. That's John, chapter 17, verses one through five. Brother Bert Harper, host, longtime, ah, host of Exploring The Word. And, brother Bert was The first and original host, he and Alex, on Exploring The Word. He's with us now to talk about our summer conference. Brother Bert welcome back.
>> Bert Harper: Thank you. It's good to be with you.
>> Walker Wildmon: It's been a long time since you've been on The program and you and Alex and occasionally you'll bring in some other host as well if one of you are traveling.
Bert Harper hosts Exploring the Word with Dr. Alex McFarland
But, before we jump into The Activate Summit. How many years, just to put you on The spot, have you guys been hosting Exploring The Word?
>> Bert Harper: We're on our 15th year.
>> Walker Wildmon: 15th year?
>> Bert Harper: Yeah, I pastored, you know, full time here in Tupelo. I was on The board here at afr. Don asked me. Your granddad asked me to be on The board. And then when he retired, I became chairman of The board. And I joke about it. For three months, I was chairman of The board and an employee. M. I got a raise every week.
>> Walker Wildmon: And you didn't even have to vote on it.
>> Bert Harper: Didn't have to vote on it. Of course, that's not true, but, you know. Yeah, being connected with brother Don Wildmon was one of The great joys of my life. It's neat when your hero is a friend. And, we became friends, The rural area of Mississippi. You know, we understood each other. We didn't have to have anybody to interpret our Southern language.
>> Walker Wildmon: You know, I, don't think I speak real deep Southern until I travel and they go, where are you from? That's an interesting way you talk.
>> Bert Harper: Yeah, I know.
>> Walker Wildmon: yeah, you know, you've got to like someone if you. They're a board member and then you hire them on staff. That's got to be a good relationship.
>> Bert Harper: It is. It was a good relationship. And we, shared times together, prayed together, and it's a joy. But it's good to be here. Your dad, Tim's. He's a friend as well. You. You and your brother and sister, you know, it's, You know, it's been great to be connected and thank God afr and doing exploring The Word with Alex is. Is just a joy.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, A lot of people benefit from that. And you guys are diving into The Word of God every single day and keeping, Honestly, keeping our programming focused on The main thing through exploring The Word.
You are one of the main speakers at Activate Summit this summer
you are one of our primary speakers. One of our main speakers this summer at The Activate Summit. Each year we have a different theme and focus on a different area, if you will, of scripture and our core values and our mission here at afa. And this, upcoming summer, we are going to be focusing on family and God's original design for marriage and family. We've got great other speakers. Dr. Jessica Peck is going to come in. We're going to have Katy Foust, Josh Wood, and others. But you're speaking as well. Give us a little glimpse into what you're going to talk about this summer.
>> Bert Harper: Well, I talked The leadership, and we believe grandparents have a role. So they looked at my gray hair and they said, you're qualified. so, yes, Jan's going to be helping me. You know, she and I do The fishbowl retreat for pastors and wives together. We've done marriage conferences together. So, she's going to be able to help me. And we're going to look at grandparents. And I will say this. You know, grandparents, you have those that are real close, next door even, you know, and then you have those that are a little distance, and then you have those far away. So The influence of a grandparent is real, but it's. It's difficult to say, okay, this is what you do, because distance can have an effect. Relationships have an effect, but yet God gives us a promise from generation to generation. So I, you know, The Bible just talks about The sins of, The fathers passed down. And so we want to make sure grandparents get their lives right so that it's. It's a more. It affects, you know, what grandparents do affects and The next generation. And so we're going to do our best to bring something that will be refreshing, helpful, and good.
>> Walker Wildmon: You know, brother Bert The way things have kind of transpired over The decades and really over The last century is The family used to live in closer proximity. Proximity, when you look at previous generations and when you look at history, but, with travel being so easy, with airlines and cars and interstates and you can be anywhere in a day, families aren't, as, statistically speaking, families aren't staying within a proximity. I'm talking more about generations. and so it makes it a little more difficult.
In today's era, you've really got to be intentional with your time
but this brings about The topic of intentionality. And I'm sure you and Jan will talk about this, but in today's era, you've really got to be intentional with your time, because it's not assumed. It's not given, if you will, that as a grandparent, you're going to live next door in The same town as your children and grandchildren. So time management is a big deal.
>> Bert Harper: Oh, it really is. And if you were to. I remember on a trip to Israel, we went over there and they was talking about how different it was. And then you remember The passage, about Jesus telling about when he was coming back. It's when he and The bridegroom, when he gets his dwelling ready, then he can go get his bride and bring that bride. Usually it was attached to his father's house, you know, and we were over there and they said, things a little changed, but don't have a Lot of land. So a, generation, The older generation's on The bottom floor, The second generation's on The next floor.
>> Walker Wildmon: And it's still that way in Israel.
>> Bert Harper: It's still that at The buildings and see that. And, here.
>> Walker Wildmon: And they don't have mortgages, by The way.
>> Bert Harper: Amen.
>> Walker Wildmon: So maybe, maybe we should learn something.
>> Bert Harper: We might need to learn something. But also, you talking about The communication and your highway system and being a part also corporations.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah.
>> Bert Harper: I mean, you'd be a part of a, you be a part of a corporation business in your hometown and then be transferred hundred miles away. Right. And, so it's, it's put some strain on The on The generational relationships and distance. But technology helps.
>> Walker Wildmon: Sure.
>> Bert Harper: We can talk to them.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah.
>> Bert Harper: And, we, you know, FaceTime. Yeah. And, so there's ways to overcome. Not completely, because nothing's like hands on.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah.
>> Bert Harper: Hands on is real. But, we can do our best.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah. Yeah, absolutely.

American Family Radio is traveling to Colonial America to celebrate America's 250th
Another opportunity I wanted to continue to remind you of with this special 250th year of our country, we are going to, Washington, D.C. that's a trip. We're going to Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. That's a trip as well. These are back to back. And then, we're doing those in both June and September. And then lastly, in late September, we're going to go to Boston and tour America's providential history there in Boston. So if you want to celebrate America's 250th, if you want to get one of The best, this is my opinion, but I can back it up pretty strongly. One of The best historical perspectives is from someone like Stephen McDowell. He's with us every time we go to Washington and Williamsburg, and he's also going to Boston with us as well, along with Tim Barton. But Stephen McDowell is one of The foremost, if not The foremost, historians on America's history from a Christian perspective. He's unmatched. He's written extensively on George Washington. He's virtually an expert on our founding fathers and our founding era. And he's going to be with us in Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. He's also going to be with US in Washington, D.C. and then when we go to Boston at The end of September, both Stephen McDowell and Tim Barton, son of David Barton, will be with us in Boston. And so we bring. Not just. We don't just cover The logistics and The hotel and The food and make sure that you don't have to worry about anything, but we bring, Most importantly, Stephen McDowell, The historian, with us, and he's going to give you knowledge and insight on America's founding that it's hard to get anywhere else. All right? And so that's what makes these trips special. When people go with us, they're just overwhelmed by The amount of information they receive. We actually have had multiple people over The years go two and three times because they just can't take it all in. And so we hope you'll join us to help celebrate America's 250th. We hope you'll join us in, Colonial America. Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Washington, D.C. or Boston. One or two or three of those. We would love to have you on coming up, starting in June, you can go over to wildmangroup.com wildmangroup.com to check out The dates, itinerary, pricing, all The information you need on that. And, just. Just The fact that you and I get to be alive to celebrate America's 250th anniversary is just phenomenal. This is just so exciting. obviously historical for many reasons. And, you know, The Lord is sovereign overall. He is sovereign over The time on this earth. And he places his believers throughout history for specific purposes to carry out his will. And so as Christians alive in 2026, we need to be mindful that The Lord has a plan for us. He wants to use us to. To point people to Him. And so we need to stay focused on that. What better time to be alive? We'll be back in a few minutes.

With rise in independent journalism, it's easy to fall prey to conspiracy theories
Well, there's just so much that has come out in The last few days, even since The last time I was live with you on Monday, about what is transpiring in Iran, what led up to this volume of information. So much to talk about. But we're beginning to get a more complete picture as to what exactly led up to this. And, I haven't cast hard judgment one way or The other leading up to this. My basic position leading up to this in The week prior to was that, hey, we need to know what's going on here. The American people need an explanation, a full picture as to why exactly we're doing what we're doing in Iran. And I think The American people are owed that. And then once we get The full picture, once we get complete honesty on what's going on here, then of course we can make up our own mind on what we think about it. But The problem in The past is we've had non credible, administrations in The past, whether it be Obama or Biden, that were not fully transparent with The American people on what exactly was going on here. And I think President Trump's administration is one of The most transparent administrations, at least in my lifetime, probably going back to Reagan. President Trump is very transparent on what's going on here. There's not a lot being hidden, with The exception of probably some classified information that they can't tell us about. But nonetheless, another thing that. Another comment I want to make, and then we'll jump into The meat of it, is as believers, as Christians, we need to be very careful not to fall, victim to every conspiracy under The sun. Okay? Now, granted, some conspiracies or some theories end up being true, and some theories out there about why The US Is doing that and why The US Is doing this, Some of it has a lot of evidence behind it. And so you can take a position on that with The evidence available. But unfortunately, with The with The surge in independent journalism, with The surge in independent media and these social media platforms such as X, Facebook and otherwise, it's very easy for someone to just go out there and say anything. And so you don't have your three major networks like we did back in The day, where everything is filtered either through The major networks or through your local newspaper. Not a lot of independent journalism going around. That's more of a modern phenomena. M. But here we are, and we have information overload. We can go out there on The Internet, you can go on X and you can get information overload, and you can get stuff that fits a narrative you want to believe. You can view what The other side is saying. You can get a wide range of perspectives on The Internet with this mass media that we have available at our fingertips. And in many ways, it's been a net positive to have access to such valuable information so quickly at your fingertips. I mean, for that matter, half or more. Actually, more. probably 90% of breaking news I get on X before it's even on The broadcast networks. Like, I see stuff on X that 30 minutes later, Fox News breaks on their live television. And so, The speed at which we receive information is. Is unprecedented. It's rather overwhelming, actually. But with this rise in independent journalism and independent media, it's very easy to fall prey to conspiracies and theories that have no basis in reality. And whether it be Tucker Carlsen, Candace Owens, or others, there's plenty out there. And even on The left, there's often these theories and narratives thrown out that don't have any factual backing. So we need to be careful not to fall prey to Narratives that have no factual basis.
Why did the US strike Iran? What led us to this point
All right, but now that we have more information, let's actually talk about what I think is going on based on The available information in Iran, with Iran, why did The US strike Iran? What led us to this point? So let's walk through this. First off, Iran has been a problem for a long time. I've got a rap sheet here in front of me going back to The 80s of Iran and even before that. But Iran being a problem really starting in The early 80s as far as striking US forces, beginning in 83 we had The Iranian backed Hezbollah truck bomb in Lebanon, killed two, hundred and forty one U.S. service members. That was in 1983. And of course I believe it was 89. You had The overthrow of Iran and then The mullus took over. So obviously that picked up steam. And then in The 80s they began bombing US troops in The region. But, and then I could go from 1983 and then I can give you a rap sheet of about 20 things leading up to today where US service members have been killed and US citizens have been killed by either Iran directly or Iranian backed groups and proxies in The region. So Iran has been a problem for a long time. President Obama refused to fix The problem. He sent them $1.3 billion in cash. Absolutely refused to fix The problem. So President Trump gets into office, in 2025, The beginning of 2025, and immediately begins negotiations with Iran to address their nuclear ambitions. The reason Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb is because they are not rational actors. They are not rational actors and they are not part of our allied coalition around The world. They are very much hostile to America. This is not breaking news. You would have to completely have your head in The sand to not understand that Iran doesn't like us. But not only does Iran not like us, they want to kill us and they want to kill Israel. And that's not making it up. That's not reading some classified CIA report that is playing clips of their own leaders, including The Ayatollah who's since dead, talking about wanting to see blood of Americans and Israelis. So this is not a grand conspiracy. This is not who hijacked The planes on 9 11. This is their own words documented over 40 plus years of Iranian leaders saying they want to kill as many Americans and Israelis and Jews as humanly possible. That's their objective. All right, fast forward. President Trump agrees, based on The intelligence he received and The military reports that Iran is an increasingly, increasingly hostile threat to America and our allies. And this must be addressed under my administration right now. President Trump begins talks with Iran over 12 months ago when he first came into office. These ramps picked up in recent months to such an extent that President Trump sent two mediators to Geneva to meet with The Iranian, leaders and The Iranian negotiators. All right, so here we are basically two weeks ago, a week and a half to two weeks ago. This is a clip of Steve Witkoff, The chief negotiator, mediator, with The US Talking about how The opening discussions went with The Iranians in Geneva roughly two weeks ago. This is going to be clip 3%
>> : materials, Sean, can be brought to 90%. That's weapon grade, weapons grade in roughly one week, maybe 10 days. At The outside, The 20% can be brought to weapons grade inside of three to four weeks. And let me say this because I forgot this small little detail in that first meeting. Both The Iranian negotiators said to us directly with, you know, no, no shame, that they controlled 460 kilograms of 60%. And they're aware that that could make 11 nuclear bombs. And that was The beginning of their negotiating, stance. So that's, that's, they were, they were proud of it. They were proud that they had evaded all sorts of oversight protocols to get to a place where they could deliver 11 nuclear bombs.
I was skeptical of this Iran's about to have nukes narrative
>> Walker Wildmon: Okay, folks, first off, let me. We're about to debunk, we're about to debunk every conspiracy and every theory out there, which of, which I've fallen prey to. Let's be honest. I was totally skeptical of this Iran's about to have nukes narrative only because Netanyahu has been saying it since The 90s. And I've played The clips, I've got The receipts, okay, I was skeptical of that. I'm thinking to myself, all right, Netanyahu has been warning of Iranian nukes for 33 years and all of a sudden in 2026 they actually have them. All right, here's what I believe has happened and there's a lot of evidence to back this up. I believe that between The US and Israel, we have been picking off their nuclear program that is assassinating their scientists and running shadow operations in Iran. And I believe we've been doing that for 30 years and there's plenty of documentation on that publicly. But I think it got to a point where that shadow means of combating Iranians nuclear ambitions was not sustainable. They were outpacing us. We could not take out enough people and enough assets behind The scenes. And to truly, cripple their nuclear ambitions. Not to mention The chief negotiator here, Steve Witkoff. This is no Israeli pocket, man. Steve Witkoff is no Israeli Mossad loyalist for 30 plus years. Absolutely not. Actually, there's questionable business dealings between Steve Witkoff and an Arab backed nations in The region, including Qatar. There's been a lot of media on that, on what exactly Steve Wyckoff doing around here? And I'm not granting legitimacy to any of that. I'm just telling you that The claim that Wyckoff went into these negotiations with impure motives and actually never intended to reach a deal with The Iranians and he was for war The whole time with Iran. 00 facts to back that up. There's actually a lot of indications that Wyckoff was, would actually like to see a deal with The Iranians because this is what he does on behalf of The President. He cuts deals. So Witkoff doesn't want to come out of that with a loss, which he did. So here we are. That's Witkoff. Iranians walk into The meeting and what do they do? The Iranians don't walk in and go, hey guys, by The way, we don't even have nukes. And we, by The way, we don't even have enriched uranium. So all of this is made up. Iranians are no threat. We're no problem. We're not enriching uranium. We don't have enriched uranium. No plans to build nuclear bombs. This should be The end of The discussion. No, that's not what happens. The Iranians walk in. You can't make this stuff up. The Iranians walk in and they tell Woodcock, they go, yeah, yeah, we've got nukes. Yep, yep, we've got nukes. We've got 60%, we've got 400 plus kilograms of 60% enriched uranium. And in order for it to be, able to be mounted on an intercontinental ballistic missile, which is a nuclear warhead, we can have that ready in about 10 to 12 days. Whoa, what? So this is not just Netanyahu warning about this or The CIA or whoever. This is The Iranians themselves, who The Ayatollah sent to Geneva. They come into The negotiating room and they go, yep, yep, we we got a lot of uranium. A lot of uranium. And it's not just for nuclear power. They say we've got enough for 11 nuclear warheads. Whoa, whoa, okay, so this is not a conspiracy. This is not a theory. This is not Mossad backed intelligence. This is The Iranians from their own mouth, going on The record that they can produce up to 11 nuclear warheads in The coming weeks. So The theory that I've granted credibility to, at least at times, that, I'm not sure Iran's really a nuclear problem here, maybe this is about something deeper. Iran just came into The room and completely debunked that theory by themselves, saying that, yep, we've got nuclear weapons. Well, we're weeks out from nuclear weapons. That's Iran's own quote. All right, so this is a problem. We've got more clips. We'll play after The break.
Secretary Rubio says President Trump moved at exactly the right time against Iran
but The other thing that we're going to talk about after The break is why now? All right, Iran is weakened. They have been weakened in recent years since The 12 Day War with Israel. But while they were weakened, they were also ramping up their production of, one way suicide drones and ballistic missiles. They already had thousands of both, but they were on pace to have tens of thousands to such a degree that there were serious questions within The US Military about whether in a year or two from now The US Would have enough interceptors to stop The missiles and The drones. This is, per Secretary Rubio, if you take that at face value, that's a big deal. That's a big deal. So The question about why not go into Iran next year, in three years and five years, five years ago. Well, Secretary Rubio answers that, and so we'll play that clip. Talk a little bit more about that after The break. all in all, The evidence is beginning to mount substantially that President Trump made a move at exactly The right time against Iran. President Trump's decision making, he is being exonerated every single day that passes. More on this after The break.

American Family Radio has a new video on why we attacked Iran
>> Walker Wildmon: All right, welcome back to The Core here on American Family Radio. Glad to have you with us here on today's edition of The Core. As a reminder, you can watch, our video on Facebook at The core Facebook page over@stream.aca.net and, on all of our AFR major social media pages, we've got The video up live streaming each and every day. All right, well, let's keep talking through this and really painting at least a picture that we have today on why we attacked Iran. And, what was The context? Because as I mentioned going into The break, The more evidence comes forth, The more exonerated President Trump is in his decision making. And it's actually, this is actually much more of a compelling case than I was expecting to be made. this is way beyond Iran just can't have nuclear weapons here. This is a very sophisticated picture. And I also want to, before we play a few more clips, I want to, warn people about this, this consistent questioning of authority.
Some in the podcasting world are saying they don't trust President Trump on Iran issue
All right. Because I understand, I understand The distrust. I understand we've got The media out there that are constantly pushing narratives. And I understand in The past, we've had bad leadership. Biden, Obama, etc. We've had decades of bad leadership. But President Trump has been one of The most revolutionary leaders in The last 40 to 50 years in America, one of The most consequential presidents. I believe that's going to go down in The history books, in The history of our country. And The team that he has assembled, I've said this since day one. The team that he has assembled is The best of The best. There's no weak point. There's no weak point, link in The chain, whether it's Rubio, whether it's Hegseth, whether it's Wilds, whether it's his, his general counsel's office, whether it's The Department of Justice, FBI. You go down The list. The entire Cabinet is rock solid. And so you can't look at this and basically go from The best cabinet and The best president we've had in a generation to I don't believe anything they say, which is essentially What a lot of The podcasting world is saying, I just don't trust him, I don't trust him, I don't trust The government. Well, that's folks, that just didn't cut it. Now, if you build up a case as to why I don't trust President Trump on this specific issue and here's The seven reasons why, and they're actually factually based on, well, let's have that discussion. But this immediate casting off and immediate distrust and discord sewn into President Trump's administration and his decision making is completely unwarranted. There's no evidence to back it up in The vast majority of instances. Let's jump to Secretary Rubio. This is him at The Capitol Hill yesterday, directly before a Gang of Eight briefing talking about one of The reasons we attacked Iran and is they were outpacing our missile defense system.
>> Marco Rubio: Clip 2 Going back to The purpose, The purpose of this is to destroy that missile capability. Why does Iran want that ballistic missile capability? What they are trying to do and have been trying to do for a very long time is build a conventional weapons capability as a shield where they can hide behind, meaning there would come a point where they have so many conventional missiles, so many drones, and it can inflict so much damage that no one can do anything about their nuclear program. That is what they were trying to do is put themselves in a place of immunity where The damage they could inflict on The region would be so high that no one can do anything about their nuclear program or their nuclear ambitions. They are producing by some estimates, over 100 of these missiles a month. Compare that to The six or seven interceptors that can be built a month. They can build 100 of these a month. Not to mention The thousands of one way attack drones that they also have. They've been doing this for a very long time. And by The way, they've been doing it under sanction. You see The attacks they're conducting right now? They're attacking airports, they're attacking hotels, they're hitting not just military bases, they're attacking our embassies directly. They're attacking facilities that have nothing to do with war or with military. And that's a weekend Iran, that's in Iran despite years of sanction. Imagine a year from now or a year and a half from now, The capabilities they would have to inflict damage on us. It's an unacceptable risk, especially in The hands of a regime that's run by radical clerics.
>> Walker Wildmon: Okay, folks, this is very important. This is very important and a Lot of people don't want to pay attention to The details. They just want to. They want to latch on to high level narratives that take little thinking and processing. Okay, but we're better than that.
Secretary Rubio just revealed to us that Iran was on track with missile production
So let's actually talk about The details here. What Secretary Rubio just revealed there, which I believe at one point was probably classified information, but has probably since been declassified by President Trump, that's just a hunch I have based on The sensitivity of this. Secretary Rubio just revealed to us yesterday that Iran was on track with The one way suicide drones and The ballistic missiles. They were on track to have so many of those weapons in their arsenal that within The next 12 to 24 months, The American interceptor capacity would not be able to keep up. Okay, so let me paint The picture for you. Had President Trump not taken action when he did, and let's say he kicked The can down The road to next year or The next year, then Iran, instead of just talking about having nukes, well, by then they've probably already got nukes, or at least they're still wanting to have nukes. And then we decide to take action on Iran. All right, so instead of having a vastly successful interceptor campaign that we've had thus far over The last week or several days, where we've intercepted not all, but most of their launches, we've intercepted The ones that could be deadly, except for The one that hit The tactical Operations center in Kuwait, which is a tragedy. Six service members lost their lives there. So instead of being. Being able to intercept The vast majority of these ballistic missiles and drones, we would not have enough interceptor capacity to intercept them. That puts our service members and our allies in The region at high vulnerability. You're talking hundreds or thousands of casualties, minimum. And then at that point, our political leaders are weighing The risk of, well, I mean, should we just let them have The nuke? Because who wants to have a thousand service members? Pass. Nobody does. And so Iran was doing this on purpose. They were producing so many drones, so many ballistic missiles per month that our interceptors could not keep up. And if we decided to launch a Future attack in 12 to 24 months, there's no way we can intercept that many missiles, that many drones. We're already having a hard time keeping up. Now, there's actually some reporting that some of our allies in The region are running low on their interceptors. But let's talk about our production, because President Trump is actually meeting on Friday with defense contractors at The White House to actually talk about upping production. But I'm Just going to tell you, these numbers, this is all open source information and it's staggering. It's staggering. And at peacetime maybe these numbers hold up, but in wartime, no way these numbers hold up. On The thaad, this is The terminal High Altitude Defense Interceptors. Guess how many we're producing a month? 8. This is what Secretary Rubio is talking about. Word.
>> Walker Wildmon: We're producing eight a month. 96 a year on average. Let's talk The Patriot, system. We're producing 52amonth. 52amonth. We're firing 52 Patriot missiles in five minutes over there. The this, Bobby may know more about this one. This is going to be The SM3M. This is a different interceptor, but 5 to 6 per month. This is, let's see. yeah, this is, this is a ballistic M missile interceptor. SM3, that's probably, I think it's in The Raytheon family, but nonetheless, five to six a month, so 60 to 70 a year. And so those are our top three interceptor systems. And we're producing not enough to keep up. And, The context leading up to this is, well, President Biden shipped a lot of our supplies where to? Ukraine. We also shipped a lot of supplies to Israel following The Hamas attack in 2023. And so I don't, I don't think this is a, like level five, you know, something to be concerned about. But in The next 12 months, this could be a problem. This could be a problem. And I'm not The only one talking about. The Joint Chief actually had to address this at a press conference this morning. This is going to be, The Joint Chiefs of Staff, Chairman General Kane, talking about munition levels. Clip 5. I know there have been a lot of questions about munitions.
>> CJCS Gen Caine: We have sufficient precision munitions for The task at hand, both on The offense and defense. But I want to tell you teammates, as a matter of practice, I don't want to be talking about quantities. And I know there's been a great debate about that, and I appreciate The interest, but just know that we consider that an operational security matter. Well, he didn't give us much there other than The fact that you notice. He said, once again, I'm not trying to read too much into this, but he was very careful with his wording there. He said, we have enough munitions for The task at hand. That's a quote. We have enough munitions at The task at hand, meaning we have enough munitions to handle Iran, in essence. But this is an environment where Ukraine is calling us every other day asking for weapons. Obviously, we help Israel because they're our greatest ally in The region. And then you've got this lingering, threat from China and Taiwan. And so munitions actually could be a problem. Maybe they're not an imminent problem, but they could be a problem if not addressed. So President Trump is bringing The top military contractors to The White House on Friday to actually talk about this very subject.
>> Walker Wildmon: let's play, clip six. This is a Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, talking about when The US And Israel will have complete command and control of Iranian airspace. Clip 6.
>> Sec'y of War Pete Hegseth: Starting last night and to be completed in a few days, in under a week, The two most powerful air forces in The world will have complete control of Iranian skies. Uncontested airspace. I hope all The folks watching understand what uncontested airspace and complete control means. It means we will fly all day, all night, day and night, finding, fixing and finishing The missiles and defense industrial base of The Iranian military, finding and fixing their leaders and their military leaders flying over Tehran, flying over Iran, flying over their capital, flying over The irgc. Iranian leaders looking up and seeing only US And Israeli air power every minute of every day until we decide it's over and Iran will be able to do nothing about it. B2s, B52s, B1s, Predator drones, fighters controlling The skies, picking targets, death and destruction from The sky all day long.
>> Walker Wildmon: Well, there you have it. to be under seven days, which is what it'll be, to be under seven days and have full command and control of The entire Iranian airspace is a military feat. And I'm not saying Iran was The latest and The greatest, but they. Iran had been preparing for this for decades. Iran had been beefing up its military for decades to fend off against any type of American aggression, or Israeli aggression at that. And so this was no walk in The park. Now, we've still got The biggest and The baddest military in The world. And China and Russia are actually, they're probably a little concerned at this point because let's remember, these were Russian and Chinese air defense systems, in large part in both Venezuela and Iran. And what did we do? We completely took them out. We've lost, effectively, unless they're not disclosing it, we've lost effectively zero aircraft over Iran during The entire operation. The only three aircraft we lost were over Kuwait. And it was a friendly fare incident. All six pilots survived. So to our knowledge, we've lost effectively zero aircraft over Iran. And so this is, this is sending a signal and this is probably, let's just say this is a secondary priority or a secondary effect, not The primary purpose. But there's no doubt that this is sending a signal to China, that you need a back off.
Iran has been bluffing about shutting down the Strait of Harmut
All right? You're not, you're not going after Taiwan. You're not interrupting our chip and our pharmaceutical supply chain by taking over Taiwan. You're just not going to do it. And China receives 70 to 80% of Iranian oil. Of all of China's oil imports between Venezuela and Iran, you're looking at 30% overnight altered. And Iran's been bluffing about shutting down The Strait of Harmut. Not going to happen. It's been temporarily shut down, mainly for precautionary reasons. But President Trump has made it clear that free trade will resume in The coming days. The markets will settle down. They've actually already settled down to a degree. Trade will resume in The straight, and Iran will be completely isolated, with The only option left is to surrender. That's pretty much where we are. So it's really just a matter of time of when Iran surrenders and when they do surrender, then we move on. We'll see you next time.
