Preborn has helped save 38,000 babies this year
>> Bobby Roza: I want you to picture this. Her name is Kayla. She's 17, alone, terrified and pregnant, sitting in a clinic, tears blurring, thinking abortion is her only option until she was offered a free ultrasound, paid for by a hero just like you. The moment Kayla heard her baby's heartbeat, the decision was made. And today, her little boy Gabriel is thriving because preborn walked with Kayla every step of the way. Now multiply that by 38,000. That's how many babies preborn has helped save just this year. How many mothers preborn has come alongside with practical and spiritual resources to make, motherhood possible. But here's the most important thing you will hear today. Their goal Is to save 70,000 babies and by the end of the year. And they can't do it without us. Every $28 provides that ultrasound. The moment everything changes, will you be the reason the next Kayla chooses life? The reason Gabriel fulfills his destiny. To donate, dial £250 and say the keyword baby. That's £250, baby. Rick Green: Charlie Kirk was assassinated because of his faith
>> Rick Green: Welcome to at the Core with Walker Wildmon and Rick Green. It's, it's a somber day, folks. This is a, this is a moment we're going to remember for our whole lives and that, people are going to talk about for generations. so I know everybody's already said that. I don't want to be cliche. I don't want to be repetitive. but I got to tell you, this is different from anything I have felt in my life. I've never, I never thought I would be. I, I mean, this is even different, of course, than President Trump. The assassination attempt on President Trump, obviously, because it was, fatal versus, a scare and clearly a miraculous saving of Donald Trump. But it's also different because, because I knew Charlie and because, you know, Charlie and I, work together and lock shields together and did events together and Turning Point uses all of our Patriot Academy classes and, you know, anyway, it's just. It's just it, ah, hits extremely close to, home. And I Think for everybody that that cares about our country and that loves the Lord. You understand that this is a martyrdom. This is, this is what being a martyr is all about. this man was assassinated because of his faith. He was assassinated because he spoke the truth boldly. He did not shy away from biblical principles in any area. he did not, he was never hateful about it. He was always one of these guys that was loving and spoke the truth in love and because of love, but spoke it boldly and had such a gift for civil discourse and winning people over or at least even just giving them a chance to say what they believed and then obviously better than maybe anybody alive today, articulate what he believed and persuade and make the case for Christ, make the case for Christian values. So for a lot of those haters out there that, that hate everything about Charlie Kirk because of the positions that he took on, you pick the issue, you know, the issue he was being asked about was, was the whole transgender, murdering rampage that's happening right now across the country, on abortion, on guns, on the biblical right of armed self defense, on you know, separation, of church and state on any of these issues. His position was the biblical position. So because he was a biblical citizen, that's why we did the course, Biblical citizenship with Turning Point. And Charlie, because he was a biblical citizen, he was living out his faith and speaking his faith. And just as they did to Stephen, they hated him for it. Because Stephen, because Stephen stood there and spoke truth about the entire history of the children of Israel. Which is a lot like what Charlie Kirk does was what I do. It's what David Barton does, what all of us in this circle do. It's what at the core is all about telling the history of our nation a providential view of God's people and how to now respond to that and how to live that out. And that's what Charlie was killed for. He did the exact same thing Stephen was doing. And, and you know, Stephen was ah, young. He was, you know, scholars say in his 30s, somewhere between 30 and 40, early 30s, very similar, very similar. And the response of those who hated him, very similar to what we're even seeing today. If you, if you saw yesterday in Congress, the speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, called for a moment of silence and prayer for Charlie and his family. And the Democrats were gnashing their teeth over praying for a kid that should been assassinated, a 31 year old murdered, a father and a husband, a leader, someone that, that was murdered for, martyred for simply wanting to talk to people, simply for being willing to sit there and talk to people who hated him in front of massive crowds. And these people actually said no. They actually screamed out no to having prayer or a moment of silence for Charlie Kirk. I, I will not accept the, the statement that, well, we've got crazies on both sides and both sides, both extremists do this, blah, blah, blah. That's. No, it's not true. I don't know of any moment in my lifetime where Bible believing Christians have celebrated the death of someone on the other side or refused to have, any respect or moment of silence for the death of someone on the other side. Certainly in an, in an assassination or something like that. it's not the same. We don't celebrate that kind of stuff. They do. There's a reason that, that businesses across the country in, in downtown areas are not having to board up their windows right now and, and prevent, you know, rioting and death and destruction because they know we don't do that. So it's not the same. It's absolutely not the same. And, and the fact that you see some of that celebration on the left is just disgusting. but there are some Democrats that are actually showing some respect and I've seen a few very good videos and I don't think that, that you can say that their entire side is like that. I think, unfortunately there's too many on their side. I think that the crazies have taken over the Democrat party, certainly the racist have. And, anyway, it's very, very unfortunate, but where I was going with all that is that, what Charlie did was speak his faith, just like Stephen and, and, and he was unapologetic about his faith and he was brilliant in his application of faith through cultural issues and life. And I said this last night on some news programs and, and just repeat myself here, but the fact that, that Charlie never, at least from what I saw and I didn't see him a lot, but over the last four years we had, you know, some pretty good interactions and, and worked together to put, you know, a million people through biblical citizenship. amazingly at, at his age, you know, we filmed, we filmed the biblical citizenship segments with him in 20. Let's see, it would have been, would have been early 2021, I believe, so four years ago, which means he was 27 years old and already they were growing like crazy and had a huge organization and tons of support and had the ear of President Trump and lots of influence. But in the last eight months, that young man had more influence, more tied in, could pick up the phone and call pretty much anyone, more of a following. Money, power, influence, fame, all of it, and yet still proclaim the truths of Christ, still had the humility and the. The awareness of who he was in relation to Christ to take the time to visit. We were just doing our. We do this thing called Coach's Corner every Thursday, and it's. It's, you know, our top couple hundred coaches, Constitution coaches at Patriot Academy, just visit and train and talk about how to. How to do better at teaching the Constitution across the country. And. And, one of our super coaches, Scarlet Lanny, is the one that runs that. And. And she went to church with Charlie at, Rob McCoy's church. Was there when Rob first had Charlie coming out, and. First time Charlie spoke there. And, and just over the years, many times he took the time to visit with and invest in Scarlet's son, who was, you know, 14 the first time. And, and just hearing that story just reminded me. I mean, I tell you, I mean, I was. I was 26 when I got elected to the legislature, and. And my pride certainly, you know, kicked in. And, And I'm not sure I could have handled the amount of fame and power and influence that Charlie Kirk had without going off the rails. I've seen that happen to many young people in their even late 30s and 40s to get that kind of power and fame and fortune, not. Not handle it well and not stay humble and not. Not continue to be teachable. Charlie was very teachable. He allowed pastors like Rob Coy and Jack Hibbs and friends like me and. And others to. To pour into him to. To be able to say when we thought something needed to be done different, he would listen, he would factor it in, and, you know, that is just miraculous.
Rick Green: Charlie's death will embolden civil discourse in America
And, so anyway, I honor him today and thank God for him, his 31 years. He did more in the last 13 years since starting Turning Point at 18 years old. he accomplished more, did more, had more of an impact, touched more lives than the next 10,000 of us combined. I mean, it's just remarkable, absolutely remarkable what God did with that young man. And, so as much as I am grieving, I am also celebrating an amazing life and, and an amazing impact. and. And I know, and we'll. We'll talk more about this today because we have to. We have to start even now in our grief. And there is a time to mourn. We have to, even now, let this, let this burn within us. A fire for truth, for the gospel, for Jesus, for. For to to be willing to live for what Charlie died for. I mean, if, if Charlie was willing to live and die for the gospel of Jesus Christ and for free nation where he could live out his biblical citizenship, then, then what can, what are we going to do? How are we going to respond to his death? How are we going to respond to his martyrdom? Is, you know, when you have a martyr like that, it usually does the opposite of what the enemy, in killing them, hoped it would do. Instead of it silencing Charlie's voice. Because it wasn't Charlie's voice. It was the voice of truth was not Charlie. The voice of truth was God speaking to Charlie. Charlie was an instrument that God used as a bullhorn for his truth. And so by silencing his voice, you don't silence the voice of truth. You don't silence truth. You have now multiplied that, amplified that bullhorn. you have now emboldened. There's zero doubt in my mind, Zero doubt in my mind. This will embolden thousands, maybe millions of young people to become Charlie Kirks. And we are at Patriot Academy. Absolutely, faces like flint. We are setting our feet in stone to create and raise up at least a thousand Charlie Kirks ourselves, young people that will come through our Patriot Academy programs and learn the gift of rhetoric and debate and persuasion and speaking truth and having influence. I mean, we've been doing it for 25 years and we've seen some of the fruit of that labor. I think God's about to explode that. And, and the timing of Charlie's murder, I don't think Satan realizes what he's done. This, this is, this is going to create a massive movement for freedom. Not violent. That's the beauty of our side. We, as I said earlier, we don't respond in violence. We defend. We will use violence to stop violence. That's called self defense. But we will not be the instigators and we will not do revenge. We will not take the bait of Satan. I've said it a lot. I even have a chapter on this in my new book, Civil Discourse or civil war? And we do not want civil war. And we will not take the bait of Satan to try to pull us into a civil war, which is what's happening here. In fact, we'll refuse that. And we're going to double down, triple down, quadruple down, 100 fold down on civil discourse and that's why I say we're going to raise up a thousand Charlie Kirks that can do civil discourse. Maybe not as good as him, maybe some of them, maybe even if it's possible it might be better. But they're, you know, even just a voice within their own friend group, a voice within their church, in their school, their, their, their turning point chapter on their high school campus or college campus or maybe running for the legislature or school board. Whatever it is, we're going to multiply the voice of truth with our response to this assassin's bullet. And if, and if that, if, if that is not your attitude today, then just get out of the way. Just don't be in our way. If you can't bring yourself to get in the fight with us, to come alongside us, to stand with us and help raise up that generation, just get out of the way. But I think most people listening to at the Core, this will embolden you. You're going to want to give more, do more. You're going to want to give of your life, your fortune and your sacred honor even more to make sure that Charlie's legacy is a legacy of the gospel of Jesus Christ being proclaimed throughout the land. Quick break. I'm Rick Green, America's Constitution coach. You're listening to at the Core with Walker Wildmon and Rick Green.

Rick Green asks you to pray for those affected by Charlie's death
Welcome back to at the Core with Walker Wildmon and Rick Green. I'm Rick Green, America's Constitution coach. Thank you for staying with me today on a very, very tough day. the Nation is, mourning and suffering a great loss. And as I said in the last segment, our response to that is the only thing we can, we can control. And I'm going to ask you to pray for a lot of folks, but, you know, and obviously pray for Erica and the kids and the entire Turning Point team. you've got an entire organization now that has had such a big impact and is deployed in so many different ways. And Charlie was m. Much more than just a founder and you know, the figurehead of that. I mean, he was the inspiration for so many of those young people to get involved. And like I said, I think it will embolden them and multiply them. But, but also pray for our friends out at, Charis Bible College. Truth and Liberty, my friend Richard Harris that runs that, and Andrew Wommack. They, they had Charlie today was, he was the keynote for their big Truth and Liberty dinner, tonight for their conference this year. and Charlie was. Was scheduled, to be the. The speaker tonight. and so, you know, they're going to do a. An honoring of Charlie obviously tonight. But you can imagine for all of those people and M. For the team there, you know, it's just difficult. and I did their event last year. I couldn't go this year because I'm. I'm actually in Omaha this week, doing Flashpoint. But, I guess what I, What I'm asking you to pray for is that all of the people that are. That are in these circles and, and what I mean by that, in these circles, I'm talking about the. I don't even like calling it the Conservative Christian. It really is the Biblical Citizen Network, which means those organizations and churches that have said we're not just Christians, we're. We're Biblical Christians. We're actually going to follow the Bible. It will actually be the guidebook for everything we do. And we actually think God meant what he said when he wrote it. And we know that it has the best answers for life and death and everything that we face. and we're not going to leave anything off limits. And that coalition, that group includes Turning Point, Turning Point Faith, obviously American Family association, way ahead of the curve on this. I mean, this is exactly what Don Wildmon, you know, taught and instilled in the movement for afa. it's people like, you know, David and Tim Barton and Wall Builders. It's, you know, Andrew Wommack and Charis Bible College. It's you know, it's, it's these groups that have been unapologetic and I guess part of my, the reason I'm asking you to pray is because I think we're in a spiritual war. And I had not seen this personally, against us at Patron Academy in this kind of way. I mean, just a few days before Charlie was murdered, I, put out a, an email on Monday, Monday night I sent an email to our database, our, our Patriot Academy folks, our student graduates from, you know, the last 25 years and donors and all those people. And I said, I titled the article, I said, the beacons are lit. Gondor calls for help. Will you be Rohan? For those of you that are Lord of the Rings fans, you'll know what that means. But for those of you that aren't, it refers to the scene in, in Return of the King where Aragorn runs into the, you know, the king's room there and, and yells that out. And, and it's, it's, it's a question of whether or not that age old commitment to each other is going to be upheld now that the king of Rohan, Rohan never no longer has the the demonic influence of Wormtongue whispering in his ear and controlling him. That's been removed. Sauron's power has been revealed by Gandalf and, and you know, the the control is, is gone. And therefore the king has the freedom to now be rational and respond and say. And Rohan will answer. And in that article I pointed out that it's the first time I'd ever called for help like this for Patriot Academy. And it was because about 10 days ago we started coming under all kinds of crazy attacks, death threats, people saying they want to burn down Patriot Academy, they want to lock the gate and burn everybody alive inside. They want to, you know, that we deserve to be murdered. I mean, just crazy stuff that I get it. There's always been crazies. There's always been death threats of people that are, you know, in the public eye or whatever. We've never experienced that, certainly never heard that kind of stuff said about the kids coming to Patriot Academy. And it's just been weird. It's been, it's been ugly and it's been, it, it's been a wake up call. And so anyway, I put this thing out on Monday saying to everybody, you know, listen, this is going to, this is requiring on our part at Patriot Academy a significant increase in our cost of, you know, security. Of, you know, public relations, of dealing with all this stuff and these new attacks that are, that we're coming under and we, and we need help and and people were responding out, you know, thank you, thank you. And that's, that's, that battle continues, even increases as a result of, of what they just did to Charlie. But then for that to happen yesterday and to see that evil and, and to see to, to, to watch that happen and, and to realize that this is how the enemy tries to co us and silence us. This is how the enemy, they justify their actions. They actually believe that if your words are violence then their response to your words can be violence. That's what these Marxists have taught this generation that is so angry and they don't even know what they're angry at, but they are lashing out. And then you got all these kids that have had their brains rewired and their hormones and all that stuff and so it's a tinderbox. You've just created this scenario. So it's made us look ah, at this whole thing in a different way and take precautions that we've always been. I mean if you listen to my show, you know, I'm big on self defense and I quote Proverbs 27:12 all the time. A wise person foresees danger and takes precaution. A simpleton or fool walks blindly on and suffers the consequences. It's the reason I challenge schools to, especially private schools, but they should do it in public schools as well to train and have you know, trained good guys and gals with guns. Teachers and employees all over the campuses for these schools. And you had stopped this mass murder rampage that's going on very quickly. And so it's not that we weren't taking precautions before, but we just had to now take extra precautions, and just have a different mindset. I mean this is a Nehemiah moment, which I actually said that in my article on Monday. I said, you know, these are the Sanballats and the Geshems and whatever the other guy's name was, you know, that are coming against us, lying about us, trying to stir up violence against us, trying to encourage people to come murder us. and so we have to keep building and I think even have more of a fervor for building than we've ever had. So the trial in one hand, just as Nehemiah had his guys doing, but the sword in the other hand so that you can defend yourself. We're not going to Attack anybody. We're not going to respond to violence. We're not going to take the bait of Satan. We're going to as I said, double down. We're going to raise up a thousand more Charlie Kirks that can speak and persuade and, and use, use truth to change the nation and, and to move people towards a biblical citizenship mindset even within the church. Getting people to actually say I'm going to follow the Bible, I'm going to read the Bible and that's going to do. It's not going to be how I feel about it. It's, it's gonna be what does it actually say. And so we're going to keep building and we're going to be prepared to defend ourselves. We're going to take those added measures that are necessary considering the times that we're in. And we're going to pray that this does not turn into a 60s kind of situation where it's years and years and years of you know, just, just mayhem and, and, and hatred, hate and you know, this effort for the enemy trying to create a civil war and to bait us into this I believe fails. If we speak truth, if we have the whole counsel of God, if we follow the Bible's commands on how to deal with these kind of situations, then I think we can stop this and I think we can reverse it. But it's going to require raising up a thousand chartered Kirks. It's going to require raising up 10,000 candidates that flood the zone. Godly people. I think even Donald Trump the other day called for 500 Christians to run for office.
Charlie Kirk had a pretty good security team, even back when I first started working
Well, I think it needs to be a lot more than that. I think it needs to be thousands and thousands running for every school board position, water district, county commissioners, you know, state legislature, all of it, Congress, all of it. I think we need, we need a whole new crop of people that, that are not in it for ego. They're not just a bunch of empty, bloviating, you know, empty suit, bloviating self centered politicians, but they're servant leader patriots. They're people that are willing to do what Charlie Kirk did, lay down their life for their friends, for their family, for their countrymen, late live and die for Christ and, and you know, for those that think, well Charlie didn't willingly do that. If you don't realize. I mean he, Charlie always had a pretty good security team, even back when I first started working with him. But of course of late had to have a significant security team. but there Is there, There is no way you can be the best defense, you know, executive protection team in the world. You can be the Secret Service. And there is no way to 100%, protect your subject. You just can't. if you, if you let them outdoors, if you let them leave, wherever you are, you are putting them at risk. And, and Charlie knew this. He. He absolutely knew this. And, and yet he would go into the lion's den day after day after day, speak truth, as I said earlier, in love to people that hated him. and, and with a smile on his face, with a peace and a joy. I mean, how many times. You're also. Everybody's seeing the videos on social media now. did he say things about if I died or if this happened or whatever it was all about? Did I live out my faith with courage? Did I represent the Lord well? Did I speak truth? I mean, that ought to be all of us today. I don't care if you're 31 or you're 55 or you're 105. That ought to be our. All of our. All of our desires. All of us should desire that. What we're remembered for is courageously living out our faith. Every single one of us. Man, that's. That's a rallying cry right there.
Rick Greene: I think the MLK comparison is spot on
So there's a lot of people in history that, I was beginning to go down this road. I want, I want to kind of go here for the remainder of this segment, but the, the, the, the, you know, the MLK comparison is very, I think, very spot on, that, that I wasn't alive at the time. I don't, I don't know what it felt like, but it probably felt a lot like what we're feeling right now. Very similar, you know, 39 years old, the voice of a movement, the most articulate voice in that movement and maybe in the country at the time. and willing to put his life on the line. I mean, this was a guy that, a Republican that believed in the Second Amendment, had a gun, but refused to carry it because he said, if I use, if I defend myself, then I'll. Then I'll hurt the movement. And he didn't want to hurt the movement, so he's willing to be harmed himself in the same way. You know, Charlie putting himself out there day after day in those situations. So that, that comparison is, Is, Is. Is, I think, accurate, but I think the closer comparison is, is one of my heroes from the Revolutionary War, Dr. Joseph Warren, who was 34 when he was Cut down by the British and absolutely the most articulate. Just like Charlie Kirk was the best at civil discourse of anyone on the planet in our generation and maybe ever. Joseph Warren was the same way. He was the best orator of the founding era. He was better than Patrick Henry. Would have been known as being better than Patrick Henry had he not been killed at 34. And he was giving this amazing speech on the anniversary of the Boston Massacre, the fourth anniversary. There were. There were. Every year they would get together at Old South Meeting House, have these big rallies, and, someone would give a keynote address. And he did it twice. John Hancock did it once. I can't remember the other guy. and, the second time that he did it was in 1775 and March 6th of 1775. And he would be killed 10 weeks later. battle Bunker Hill, June. So, yeah, about 11, 12 weeks later. And so he gets up there and he gives this amazing speech. I'm not going to read the whole thing to you, but I definitely want to read the last two paragraphs as we're getting ready, for our break, because I think this is. This is so perfect. This is. I mean, it's almost like Joseph Warren wrote this for Charlie Kirk. And of course, in his speech goes through the whole thing about the Boston Massacre, about, you know, what they're fighting for, what freedom's about, what the British are trying to do, all this. Anyway, the very end. He says, you then, who nobly have espoused your country's cause, who generously have sacrificed wealth and ease, who had despised the pomp and show of tinsel greatness, refused the summons to the festive board, been deaf to the alluring calls of luxury and mirth, who have forsaken the downy pillow to keep your vigils by the midnight lamp for the salvation of your invaded county country, that you might break the fowler snare and disappoint the vulture of his prey, and then will reap the harvest of renown which you so justly have deserved. Your country shall pay her grateful tribute of applause. Even the children of your most inveterate enemies, ashamed to tell from whom they sprang, while they in secret curse their stupid, cruel parents, shall join the general voice of gratitude to those who broke the fetters which their fathers forged, having redeemed your country and secured the blessing to future generations who, fired by your example, shall emulate your virtues and learn from you the heavenly art of making millions happy with heartfelt joy, with. With transports all your own. You cry the glorious work is done. Then drop the mantle to some young Elisha and take your seats with kindred spirits in your native skies. Charlie Kirk, that's for you. Today, you've helped redeem your country. You've secured blessing to future generations. And they are fired up. There's been a fire lit in them by your example. Example. And they will emulate your virtues. So I. I know, Charlie, that you're looking down on us from your seat with kindred spirits in your native skies. And the mantle is being passed to a thousand young Elishas, the next generation of Charlie Kirk's. Stay with us, folks. You're listening to Add to Core. This is @ the Core on American Family Radio with your host, Rick Green.
Rick Green, America's Constitution coach, remembers fallen soldier Charlie Kirk
Welcome back to at the Core with Walker Wildmon and Rick Green. I'm Rick Green, America's Constitution coach. Today we are remembering Charlie Kirk and, talking about his impact and, the privilege of being able to work with him over the last few years and, how to respond. And I was just, I was looking at the lyrics of that song by Mercy Me. Even if you know, wow, I know you're able. I know you can save through the fire with your mighty hand. But even if you don't, my hope is you alone. when you choose to leave mountains unmovable, give me the strength to be able to sing it as well with my soul. I know the sorrow and I know the hurt would all go away if you just say the word. But even if you don't, my hope is you alone. You've been faithful, you've been good all my days. Jesus, I will cling to you come what may because I know you're able. I know you can. man, that's how I'm feeling right now, believe me. Look, this kid could have. There's no doubt Charlie Kirk would have been President of the United States. I really, in my mind, I mean, that was like a foregone conclusion a couple of years ago. Just look at what God's doing. He's not old enough yet. Constitution has got to be 35. But someday that kid will be president. I think, most everybody in our circles believed that and saw, that coming. you know, again, just, just an amazing, amazing life. one of my. One of my students at Patriot Academy sent me a message that I think is worth reading. She said, I'm. I've been thinking all day about the words of Abraham Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address. by the way, if you want to call in, I forgot to give out the number 8885-898-80. It's 888-589-8840. Maybe you've got a, something you want to say about Charlie Kirk, and, maybe you, Maybe you had some kind of, impact, in your life by him, or, Or you just want to, you know, share. Share a quick thought or prayer. Anyway, this gal from our team, Hannah, she said I've been thinking all day about the words of Abraham Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address. He said, we are now engaged in a great Sybil, in our case, on civil war, testing whether that nation or any nation, so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. But in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hollow this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here have consecrated it. For above our poor power to add, or far above our poor power to add or detract, the world will little note nor long remember what we say here. But it can never forget what they did here. It is for us, the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us. That from these. And this is. This is a quote from his Gettysburg Address I've used a million times, and it so fits today. From these honored dead we take increased devotion to the cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion. That we highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain. That this nation, under God, still have a new birth of freedom and the government of the people, by the people and for the people, shall m not perish from the earth. This young student said we, too should find tragedy calling us to a greater resolve, greater passion, greater action. These years have shown us. These last weeks have shown us we can no longer be couch Christians, comfortable in our apathy while our house is burning down. God has called us to be warriors of faith with the gentleness and compassion of lambs and the purpose and passion of lions. Oh, thank you, Hannah Russell, for giving me that to share on the Air Today. That's not why she sent it. She was just sharing that. But I thought, man, that's. That is exactly what, we need to hear. So good. He also added Joshua Chamberlain, for those of you that are Civil War buffs. he had said, when faced with the choice to do something or do nothing, I will always choose to do something. I had deep within me that day the inability to do nothing. Inability to do nothing. I knew I may die that day, but I would not die with a bullet in my back. Or she's the one that defended the round top and really saved the. The battle. anyway, yeah, let's all have a greater resolve, a greater passion, and take greater action. Let's highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain. Let's have an increased devotion to the cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion.
Rick: Let's go to the phones for some encouragement. We'll start with Tom in Ohio
All right, let's go to the phones. 888-589-8840 is the phone number 888-589-8840. We'll start with Tom in Ohio. Tom, go ahead. Hey, Tom, can you hear me?
>> Bobby Roza: Rick, you have Stacey from Louisiana. It's A male. Ah.
>> Rick Green: Stacey from Louisiana. Stacey from Louisiana, go ahead.
>> Stacey: now, I just wanted to give you some encouragement. I, I like Charlie Kirk. I didn't follow him as much as everybody else, but, you know, knowing the conditions of this country, I do. I do Facebook videos, and I got on to encourage, everyone. A lot of scripture in the description, Primarily Romans, chapter 12, but to not give in to the hate, the anger, you know, hate what is evil and cling to what is good. Best. I understood Charlie is putting Christ first. that's what I wanted to encourage all of us who consider ourselves believers to do and to, be the cultivators of this culture and do all that we can in Christ's name to turn it around.
>> Rick Green: Yeah. Amen. Stacey thank you. Thank you for calling in. I really appreciate it. So true. So true.
We can pray for the person who murdered Charlie Kirk because we care
Carla from Texas, you're up next. Carla, go ahead.
>> Carla: Hey, I've heard you talk about how we are different and we're supposed to be. And to me, a big way that makes us different is we can pray for that person who murdered him because we care, and Jesus cares about that person. So I just wanted to, mention that that's another way we're different.
>> Rick Green: It's so true. I mean, it's the reason that Christians have, prison ministries, and we go to even those who commit the most heinous crimes and share the gospel and, and preach the gospel. It doesn't, of course, change the fact that government bears. Does not bear the sword in vain. And so therefore, you know, the judgment on this person for murdering Charlie Kirk, doesn't change even as we pray for their soul. this. This person definitely deserves the death penalty and, and prosecution. but you're absolutely right. We pray for their soul as well. I'm Reminded of the, times where judges in American history, including John Jay, first chief justice of the U.S. supreme Court, when, When dealing with a death penalty case, said to the perpetrator, the. The criminal, before they're being put to death, you're about to meet your maker. You better give your life to the Lord, if you haven't already. And, doesn't change the punishment, doesn't change the. The, What is absolutely necessary in a society, to. To. For how government should treat this perpetrator, but absolutely for our part, praying for their soul 100%. Okay.
Tom in Texas urges businesses to put flags at half staff for Charlie Kirk
>> Rick Green: I think now it's Tom in Texas. Go ahead, Tom.
>> Tom: Hey, hey, I just want to let you know I'm, driving on the road between San Angelo, Texas and Midland, Texas, and I've seen a couple of businesses, oil businesses, with their flags at half staff. And I think that's fantastic. And, I think you all should encourage everyone in this country to put their flags at half staff for Charlie Kirk.
>> Rick Green: Yeah, Tom, I totally agree. I know the President ordered flags, at half staff through Sunday for Charlie. And, and I think, absolutely, let's help get the word out and encourage everybody in private, business that. That have their flags out of the road or even for your. For your property, up through Sunday to do exactly that. Thank you for that, man. Appreciate it.
Today we're having more and more people who are characterless committing crimes
let's head over to Virginia. Don is up next.
>> Don: Right up there, next to the Gettysburg Address, A man stood on the mall in Washington, D.C. and made another famous speech. It was the I have a dream speech of Dr. Martin Luther King. He said, I have a dream that someday my children will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. Today we're having more and more people who are characterless committing crimes. And that's what America needs to deal with, is your character, not the color of your skin. These people that are characterless.
>> Rick Green: Yeah. And Don, that's the. You know, the. The really sad part is that we had done. We had answered, Dr. King's call, Reverend King's call. so much better. 30 years ago, you know, in the 80s and 90s, it seemed like there was so much healing taking place. I remember Promise Keeper rallies and red, white, yellow, black and brown, man, we're all just arms around each other, crying and, loving each other. and there was just so much progress made, to move to that where we, like you said, judged by the content of our character, not the color of our skin. And, the last few years, these race baiters have tried everything they can to divide us. And again, they want civil war. The enemy wants America destroyed. And, and this was a way of doing it, was creating that hate. I mean, the guy on the train last week that murdered that little blonde headed girl because she was white. Why would he do that? Because people had stoked that in him and convinced him that he should judge by the color of skin and that just by the color of your skin you deserve to die. That doesn't just happen. Somebody doesn't just dream that up. That is pumped into their brain over and over and over again. And every one of these politicians, every one of these professors and teachers and people that have taught American kids to hate their own nation and hate their neighbors, they are culpable. Not just that murderer of that little girl, but, but the violence and the hatred and, and you know, this we don't know yet. They, haven't, as far as I know, in the last hour. Unless they caught, caught the, the murderer in the last hour. We don't know yet for sure who, who it is. We do, apparently, according to reports, it is part of the transgender craziness because there were the same hateful, writings on the gun that they found, as the, the, the guy that shot up the, the, church a week or so ago. and, and so, you know, that has been taught that is that, that doesn't just come out of thin air. That has been taught. They have been taught to hate with a hatred that justifies murder. Anyone who does not celebrate their sin does not celebrate and condone and even enable the sexualization of children or whatever the particular issue might be. The idea that you can murder someone for their words has been taught didn't just come out of thin air.
Alan in Louisiana says people are acting out and rejecting the gospel
Okay, back to the phones. Alan in Louisiana. Go ahead, Alan, you're up next.
>> Alan: Tell you, you, you nailed it on the head. it's, I mean, it's. You summed it all up. That's where we're at right now. I wanted to say there is a, there is a. The Bible talks about darkness covering the earth and gross darkness to people. people are. The people that are acting out are the ones who have actually who are rejecting the gospel. They're rejecting God. Yeah, there is a, there is an ideology that's been being, being, being pushed in this country, but at the same time the light of truth is still there. You know, before I got born again, I had to, you know, had to come. I Had to come to a place of realizing, wow, I'm acting out in this darkness, you know, And I realized I needed a savior. Now my thing is this. Not my thing. You know, the, The Bible talks about. I think in, when Moses came from. I came down from the mountain. He said that the. The line has been a line that's been drawn in the earth. There is a dead, a great. And, not in the sand, but this. This line is drawn in the earth right now. And we're seeing people are actually, ah, in agreement with darkness.
>> Rick Green: Yeah, well, and that's. And that too. That too has been Alan taught. Right. We've. We rejected God. We kicked him out of our schools, kicked him out of our public square and talked to him, do anything and everything you want, join our side, and you get to just give in to whatever desire you have instead of allowing, the truth of God to, to convict you and make you want to change. So, yeah, no doubt about it. Let's try to squeeze one more in before we go. let's see.
Charlie Kirk's voice rang high through tumultuous years following Obama administration
I, think I had Nick in Ohio up next. Nick, go ahead.
>> Nick: Hey, everybody. How you doing today? I just wanted to say that Charlie was the finest young American of our generation. I don't think it's debatable. His voice was a voice that rang high through the tumultuous years that followed the Obama administration, that, the four years that Biden was in office, through the prosecution of our President Trump, through the prosecution of Councilor Giuliani. I feel like the youth in this country was really headed for a socialist communist dystopia.
>> Rick Green: They were. They were. They were buying it. And, and, yeah, and he was literally turning it, no doubt. And, And I apologize, Nick. We're down to 60 seconds, man. But you're right. You're right. And, and, and his voice has not been silenced. I mean, that's the one thing for everybody to remember. He has not been silenced at all. Is the voice of truth that was using him as an instrument will continue to be heard and actually be amplified as a result. Result of Charlie's life and death. So that. So, you know, we know all things work together for good, for those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. And that may sound trite to you if you've just heard that for the first time, or maybe you've grown up in the church, you've heard it too many times, I don't know. But it's true. It's God's word. It's true, and we need to hold on to it. And we need to be the vessels for that voice of truth. I hope you'll look for ways to do exactly that, Charlie Kirk. Thank you. Well done. Well done, my friend. Well done, my brother. The rest of us are going to do our best to be good biblical citizens. In your honor. Thanks for listening to At the Core The views and opinions expressed in this.
